TeamSpeak Use it or not

    Yes I use TeamSpeak.
I've organized a TS3 server for our guild to use, we mainly use it for PvP but it also contains rooms for PvE, crafting, etc. etc. so it's pretty much all purpose I'd say.

TS3 is very handy to have, especially in PvP but also as some have mentioned for group dungeons. However the fun is not just in discussing how to beat that boss around the corner, imo more fun comes from just hanging out in TS, slapping or getting slapped by that PvE boss and all having a laugh together.
So perhaps somewhat of a mix of game focused as well as just for socialising.

I am however against the idea if ZOS implementing voice chat into ESO, it would just add to the game's network bandwidth and just add issues too, and wouldn't really be surprised if TS would lag out all the time too, just as cyrodiil does ;)
Having an own TS3 (or whatever software really) server allows you a lot more control too, in regards to user permissions, available channels/rooms, purpose, etc. etc.

I use an alternative to TeamSpeak.
My guild uses mumble, I have a vent server, and then there's good old skype. So I'm always on voice and can't stand grouping without it.

    This.
I used to be very bad at speaking English and hyper shy about talking on vent, but these days there's no shutting me up. I don't think I could enjoy playing with friends in silence anymore, as it adds this new layer of communication and socialising.

I use it or others group phone gadget only if needed. When I play the game, its for its soundtrack also. I hate hearing irrelevant and boring comments all of the time on top of the soundtrack. Often to the point that I simply leave the group and do something else. My time and money is precious, too precious to get it annoyed by unknown talkative gamers.

I am not a lover of voice chat though I do use it when required for team activities. So I have TS ready for those times a guild asks me to join them on their TS for organized PvP. I can also use ventrilo, mumble and raidcall and I don't really care which one I use.

The majority of my gaming time I try to stay off of voice comms and enjoy the sounds of the game rather than listen to people yack.

No I do not use TeamSpeak but I might give it a shot.
I don't even know how to Group properly, much less chat in ESO. I hate trying to type words and play. I've got a gaming headset on order, just ordered it yesterday, and really look forward to learning the chat system and going out with groups who use teamspeak.

The one time I used voice comm for an MMO was in Ultima Online or maybe StarWars. That was long ago. In a galaxy far far away. But I liked it.

I use it time to time. But i was kinda surprised that ESO didn't have it's own built in team speak like WoW.

I use an alternative to TeamSpeak.
The guild that I'm in uses mumble for ESO, but I rent a 15 user team-speak server for $7 a month, for the game Urban Terror, "one shot one kill" type of game, very intense.

I also agree that VOIP should have been implemented in the game where it had two operational modes:

    1) Group - only those in the group can talk to each other.
    2) Ranged - only players within a set range (Maybe 20 meters) can hear your conversations.

These are just ideas that I just thrown out there. The most important think is that the VIOP interface should not work the same way as the chat interface so as to eliminate message spamming.

In the congested areas, mode two would switch to the 6 most closest players, and would be turned off when the player performing transactions, such as when banking or when interfacing with vendors.

    Just my two sense.

One thing that would kinda break the ESO immersion is having female characters talking with male voices, or male characters talking with female voices.

So maybe VOIP may not be a good idea in this instance.

I would just be so wrong to see a hot looking female character talking to me with a voice like Vin Diesel :\

I am playing ESO when relaunches on PS4 in 2015. Built in voice chat and party chat now which is basically teamspeak. 80 inch Tv will be nice bonus / relaxing in a dark room. Good immersion.
