I'm getting often "eso has stopped working" crashes, I copied the text from event viewer. Is it fault of my system or the game?
I'm using Windows 8.1

I've got this kind of crash (not the report one) when my OC GPU was too high.
It may be a gpu driver issue or if you've got OC, could you try to lower your core clock or raise the voltage ?

    Im getting the same problem.

2 days ago everything is fine now I can't log on for more than 2 seconds and I'm crashed out. I raised a ticket and its been moved on to another team to deal with. Short of telling me to deactivate my addon's Im not really sure what the first team did and it might have saved everyone some time just to send through the 2nd unit guys straight away.

same here. (sry for digging this out but its one of those things what happens actualy to me since 3 Days ) It mostly happens if i am on Mount running, or on feet sprinting. If i don't use the shift-Key it happens much lesser than using a Mount or sprinting on Shift.

    My Crashreport looks like this:

    ====================================================================
    eso has stopped working.

the things with (invis) i wrote only because noone here has to know it, thats a private concern. don't mind it.

I have one SSD 240GB as Boot & System Device. I'm not sure if installing Eso on that Device as well could be the reason? Whatever. I got it almost 3 - up to 5 times per Day and its heavy annoying if you know what i mean. It happens mostly at moving around, but rarely while speaking with an NPC. I have about 8 Gigabyte Ram, so i guess this should be enough space for memory usage.
but yeah, i admit Win8.1 could be a ressource-killer, and if not then i dunno what it is.

btw i am playing mostly without addons. Destinations and TamrielTime were just used today, but the crashings was happening even before this. so its hard to believe it would be only the addons at all.

I am currently trying to run the game directly from the ESO.exe file as administrator to see if my crashing problem goes away.

Gone about 3 hours with no crash, but I have gone that long before. We will see what happens after a few days.

Also, check your client.log file in you user/yourname/documents/Elder Scrolls Online/live/logs file. If it is "data load failure" then it is the same as me.

I will check this out then. thank you :)

    edit:

hm, now it looks like that issue is gone now. so i guess it was the launcher.

I installed yesterday night a second SSD and deinstalled Eso from C: and reinstalled it on the new SSD and deleted as well the folders who remained on C:
While installation i checked in, the box of installing VC++ (or how its called). Then after that, just let it patching until it was done.

then i followed your suggestion of using the eso.exe .

I played now for 4-5 Hours and had no crash anymore since that.
    Thank you a lot :)
