Trials of the Burnished Scales

Seems to not work for most, if not all, people. In the final part of the quest argonians or can't be challenged to a duel and are standing there with stomach flu or when challenged can't be hit. Doesn't work for at least 24hours.

Unsurprising. There is always a broken quest in Shadowfen. Last time through it was the prison. You have to admire the ingenuity of the patch team and the steadfast efforts of playtesters. The gall of placing the blame and moral need for PTS on me. I work full-time, With a three hour commute. To earn the money to amongst other things make someone rich. Because all this play-testing disguised as PC first because you are the backbone of Elder Scrolls gaming is just to get the game ready for the consoles.
I came here hoping I just needed a reset. Naaah, they did it again. How many times? I know, until I unsubscribe. What a fool I am. I am old enough to remember Johnny Rotten. Shoulda learned by now, you would have thought?

This issue was fixed in a previous patch but does appear to be occurring again, so we're in the process of investigating. Thanks for the reports!

I'm pleased the issue was previously fixed, but a shame it is broken now.

I noticed that when the final part of this quest fails, you can move away from the quest area and you will receive a "Quest Failed" message and the "Root Rot Poison" buff is automatically removed. This is a positive as you can then keep on questing without the negative buff.

So, I'm not going to abandon "Trials of the Burnished Scales" just yet and will try again tomorrow as it is always a pain if you have to re-do the whole quest chain.

Question:- Has anyone had any luck completing this quest in the past few days by abandoning the quest chain and starting it all over again?

Around 10 minutes ago (9/09/2014, 5:22 PM GMT) every NPC seems to have reset. They are again fighting each other, doing push ups etc. You can challenge them and you can attack them.

I'm not able to complete this quest. I am unable to fight back after taking the poison and then making the challenge when I can find one to challenge. I must be missing something here.

I'm on Cadwell's Silver so this is Vr3 level for me.

Sorry to necro an old post but this appears to still be broken? Or maybe it's broken again? You drink the potion and the argonians just stand there and don't do anything. Others here are experiencing the same thing.

Yes i got this problem too. Maybe they broke the quest again

So I just headed back to try and complete this again and it's still broken. It does something different but still can't complete it. Now I can drink the potion and engage the NPCs who offer me the first strike but I can't attack them. AE dmg does nothing and no other attacks work to hit them.

I kept trying different NPCs and one was finally attackable so I could complete the quest. The first 3 didn't work but 4th is a charm I guess.

I relogged 6 times now. and there is not a single npc i can fight. im really tired of these *** bugs that should've bin fixed a year ago. like where only the first party member in direfrost keep could only get the quest. that *** bin around for a year as well..

This is still broken on the European Megaserver. After using the poison, all of the Argonians just stand still and can't be interacted with. It seems everyone else is having problems with this as well.

this is starting to p*** me off. STOP. BREAKING. QUESTS. I understand y'all are only human, but this is getting old. all but ONE quest was fine when I did all the vet content, and now we are getting even more bugged quests with every patch.

Its utterly ridiculous. I should not be forced to skip a quest because y'all cant fix the dang game.

FIX IT AND KEEP IT FIXED!!!!!
