Impenetrable isn't the only way to go, it just makes a lot of sense in PvP.

I honestly don't know why I continue to frequent these forums. It's full of QQ from people who die and can't or won't change and improve their playstyle but demand that ZOS alters or nerfs certain abilities because they as players refuse to adapt. It's a joke. This is my first MMO and even I play entirely differently to how I started playing and this is now reflected in the fact that I kill far more players than I die to.

I'm a NB and have high spell resists and armor, it's stupid
ultimates are coming from an invisible Vampire using Batswarm who casts unbreakable CC on me and kills me with light attacks and his swarm and setting down an oil pot whilst he is invisible and i am in unbreakable CC

I run full epic VR12 impenetrable armor. Clearly Vampire is the only way to go, So much for choice in your game Zenimax

Then vampires were introduced (untested) and it f***ed the game up - and they continiue to do so.

Sadly, very sadly, there is your problem. Those numbers are most likely all crits since people are running with 70%+ crit with how the new PvP bonus' work now. As a vampire who is also running a 1450 fire resist ring and all Inpen, Fire ring hits me for about 350-450. Yeah it hurts, but without Inpen, you will get torn apart.

Aside from the fire thing, there are some fishy things still going on with light attacks. I got hit with a 1200 light attack last night. I don't care what you stack, that's out of hand for a LIGHT attack in a game where average health in PvP is 3000.

Yeah, light attacks should never even come close to that.

Be careful on which 'Light Attack' is being used. The Sorceror Overload Ultimate will show as 'Overload Light Attack' and this thing hits like a truck! Probably shouldn't do as much damage as it does.

Fun fact, no matter how much fire resists you stack you still end up taking around 30% extra fire damage. And don't forget the 9% extra base damage anyone with half a brain and a few skill points will be running against undead.

The one I mentioned simply said "Light Attack", nothing about Overload.

Block and know where your healers are, you can take almost any damage and live.

Is there a point to get a ring with 1400 fire res or is this way overkill?

nope, fire resistance is the same like spell resistance. if your spell resi is high enough there is no need for fire resi (additional). 50% is cap

You can't block impulse. Everyday someone comes and says block impulse. Lacking knowledge or playing dumb. Impulse is OP without hitting a vampire with it, and has needed nerf since beta.

even with1200 light attack,a templar can just spam shield+heals 3000 per sec "forever". stupid ZoS.

as i saw 1400 is enough. another is just a waste because diminishing. You lose 1 jew enchant what is worth more than a diminished resistance. IMO

So much this.

Impulse alone with AoE damage is very nice. The procs for the morphed are both nice too.

Then there is the explosion that CC's. This makes no sense and is 100% causing imbalance, imo.

I've been hit by some huge light attacks lately as well. Last night a sorc hit me four times quickly in a row with 1000 damage light attacks. It did say overload but that still seems very high. I also was hit by a dk five times in a row with flame lash. One of them said flame lash exploit on the damage screen.

It doesn't even take a good Sorc. to shred a decent Templar. If he's melee, then he can CC break, but can't into range very well; if he's a Mage'lar, then lolnostam. It's hilarious that so many players have no idea what to do against a spell that is countered by everything and its second cousin thrice removed, save, naturally, complain about it and hope they can return to whatever scrubkingdom strategy they were using before 1.3. That melee Templars are the only spec' that really benefit from Blazing Shield should be telling.

There might be...

...Something that almost everybody forgets is that the dk fire whip is melee damage and is affected by your armour. So if you wear light armour and have a rating of 800, that extra 1400 defence against the main dps skill of most dks could come in handy.
