Upgrading to PHYSICAL Imperial Edition?

Hello all, I currently have the digital standard version of ESO, but was given a new copy of the physical Imperial edition. Can I upgrade my account using the included code or is it going to create a separate account for me?

you can redeem the Imperial Edition Code to your account, which enables all the Goodies from the Imperial Edition to your account.
