Can someone please explain why....

There's a mundus stone effect for magic and health regeneration but not one for stamina regeneration?

Also why heavy armor rating is so easily overcharged when wearing full heavy armor? I wear blue/purple quality and my armor is already overcharged.

As a melee heavy armor wearer I feel like I'm at a huge disadvantage.

The raising of the caps post 1.3.3 was a huge help, but I've been complaining about heavy armor and the cap since beta (back when I was still sword and board).

    •The Apprentice: Increases spell penetration
    •The Atronach: Increases magicka regeneration
    •The Lady: Increases armor
    •The Ritual: Increases healing effectiveness
•The Shadow: Increases critical strike damage
    •The Steed: Increases run speed
    •The Lord: Increases maximum health
    •The Tower: Increases maximum stamina

Yep no stamina regen. Hmm...probly a reason for that.

And about the heavy armor. Yes easily softcapped....I found no point in upgrading it to no higher than blue. Greens usually suffice.
The discussion has been around about raising the softcap on the HA.

Something needs done about this I'm tired of getting my butt kicked with such a low cap for heavy armor.

Not sure about the mundus stone, but I believe heavy armor reaches the soft cap faster because they don't want it to be too strong. Not sure how this gives you a disadvantage since you won't have any less armor than other players.

Can someone explain to me what the trade would be for giving heavy armor more protection? I know in Skyrim it made you incredibly slow. What is the trade in this game?

Are you certain that due to physical damage?
I got the feeling most damage one receives is magic, making magic resistance much more useful than a high armor rating.

You do realize you aren't going to hit the hard cap just from wearing a set of heavy armor that's purple? You will be over the soft cap for sure. But there is still a nice gain to be made between the soft cap and hard cap. You can essentially mitigate 50% of all damage in the game if you do it right. You also don't need a full set of heavy or light to do so (talking about armor/spell resist ratings).

Softcaps are not where the stats end their effectiveness. In fact for armor it's in the 33-35% range at softcap, and doesn't actually hardcap until 50% mitigation ;).

The idea of overcharging aka softcaps is to prevent easily obtaining extreme values on many stats, causing you to have to specialize more to do so.

Yep no stamina regen. Hmm...probly a reason for that.

For the record, the health regen only works out of combat, so has very limited usefulness. That said, if there's one for magicka, there should indeed be one for stamina.

The stamina you get from feeding your horse is not character stat related. That stamina helps prevent you from being thrown from your horse while riding when you take damage.

So heavy armor wearers just have to deal with a soft cap wearing full blue items and you don't see a disadvantage to that?

Advantage to spell casters over melee
  • Hostel_Striker
I know it doesn't end but it becomes increasingly harder to raise. My question is why am I hitting a soft cap wearing blue/purple? Are light and medium armors hitting a cap with blue/purple? There's supposed to be an advantage to wearing heavy armor over the others.... take more damage. The disadvantage would be moving slower. I'm not taking more damage hitting the cap so easily allowing light and medium a chance to catch up.

    Umm, you mean this one?
    •The Steed: Increases run speed

Or do you possibly mean increasing your personal horse's stamina? Neither will increase regen there. And no, unlike those who are crying for a fourth resource bar in the name of balance, I am not suggesting total homogeneity. I do however expect that when multiple options are presented, that there should be sufficient alternatives that are viable for each person's build. Stamina users are kinda left hanging with this set up.

Anyone know if The Lord bonus is the same as the The Mage? In other words, regardless of your level do you get the same amount (X Health or Magica), or does the Lord give more??

Interestingly, the Stamina Regen on your horse is dependent on your characters Stamina Regen Rate.

I saw someone confirm that these were the same at launch. No reason to think it's changed. Of course, you could always look here: http://www.esouniverse.com/guides/mundus-stones/
For a list of locations, and go test it yourself. Cyrodiil has a complete set, so as long as you're level 10 and can press the sneak button, you're good to go.
