They "FIX" ones that were given out that should not be and added some that should of been rewarded but where not.

Can you list the ones you believe you should of had but are now taken back.

Hey there, @DrogoKong‌. We did fix an issue today that caused some dyes to be unintentionally awarded if you did not complete the achievement for it yet. That said, if you know that your character or characters have completed some achievements that are no longer showing in your journal, please list those achievements here. Also, are the achievements missing on a single character or across all of your characters?

Before dyes were implemented, Zenimax announcements said that dye colors would be unlocked for the entire account. That is, if any character reached an achievement to unlock a color, the other characters on that account could also use that color.

Then, on patch day, today, they suddenly decided that was too generous. Now EACH CHARACTER can't use a dye color until THAT CHARACTER performs the achievement. Since some achievements are alliance-specific, this means no character can possibly unlock all the colors. Other colors are crafting-related, so if you want certain colors for a character, you need to pursue that craft. Most of the brighter, more vivid colors are locked behind achievements that require you succeed in top-level zones, so low to mid level characters will be drab from now on.

This was a huge disappointment for me. Having a new alt in attractive colors, because my older ones had achieved various unlocks, was a real morale boost. Starting a new character was actually fun again. Losing all this as soon as my alt levels out of existing armor (which doesn't take long!) is a big hit to my enthusiasm. My alts can use materials crafted by other characters in my account, why can't they use dyes available to other characters in my account? Am I going to have to dye the equipment on one character, then pass it through the bank to the other character? What an unholy, ridiculous, bone-headed pain in the rear. Or will Zenimax start writing custom code to prevent moving of dyed armors between characters in the same account?

I imagine some bone-headed designer or producer said, "Hey, people are using too many dyes too fast, they're using up all our precious content! Let's nerf the color availability so they work harder for them." That kind of thinking quickly leads to "Hey, let's make the game impossibly difficult, so players will spend longer advancing," or "Hey, let's make these achievements REALLY impossible, so people must work forever to get them."

The players, meanwhile, are saying to themselves, "Heck, this game used to be fun, but now it's just a @#$&ing pain to play. I'm dumping it for the new game/update/expansion that just came out." Said dumps really hurt, because people cancel their subscriptions when they stop playing, and getting them to resubscribe is REALLY hard. Eventually Zenimax goes far enough into the red that bone-head gets a layoff notice. He or she never realized that account-wide rewards promoted continued subscription better than constantly putting hassles and obstacles to a player's visual enjoyment.

I really hope this is a bug due to the last patch, now some of my alt crafters only have access to 2 or 3 colors oO, that can't be so ! I really hope ZOS tells us this is a bug ... Else it is totally pointless (you can't collect all racial styles, or recipes, or do all dungeons, trials etc on EACH character, that's madness !

UPDATE : it seems that logging in using ALL your characters refreshed the cache and once all chars have been logged at least once, you retrieve all your colors account wide. This would mean it uses some kind of local cache to know which achievement is owned by the whole account, which makes me wonder if people could not exploit it or hack it (editing local files) to make the server believe we have an achievement and thus unlock all colors...

This is most certainly not stored in a local file. It's a server side database entry, but the server was told to forget about everything after the patch, and you need to jump through the same hoops as you did when dyes were first introduced.

My main character still missing 2 achievement for gear, Superior and Epic Attire. Im VR12 now, and had several blue and purple sets while leveling. Now in full legendary gear, and i did equip green, blue, purple sets while crafting, to see what difference will it make with changing quality.

So after patch 1.3, i actually had full mentioned sets equipped, in case if pre-patch doesnt count towards achievement. Still, no achi, no dyes for me :(

So, you asking us Zeni to state what is wrong with achievements, then ignoring it?
That said, if you know that your character or characters have completed some achievements that are no longer showing in your journal, please list those achievements here.

At least answer that we know about issue will be nice, why ask people to list achievements thats are missing and then ignore it?

Off topic:whoever did LOL on my post: jelly much about me having 2 sets of legendary gear while you nuub are running in greens? :D Pathetic little ....

I lost several Dye colors. One I know was the Yellow Sulfur Pools for the Eastmarch explorer. My character is a VR1 Sorcerer on Ebonheart Pact that got the achievement. I haven't played the character for a couple months, but I definitely had the color and achievement for awhile

I also thought this was a bug.

I lost like half of my colours...

    This is really disappointing.

Have you logged into the character that actually has the achievement? Achievements are only available to the character(-s) that unlocked them, but if one of your character has the achievement, your other characters should still have that achievement. For example, my crafting character has the Rare Motives Achievement, which unlocks a rather drab brown colour. When I switch to my other char, which has access to zero motifs, she doesn't have the achievement, but can use the colour. I just took the time to check.

    ...

And I didn't notice your update that seems to confirm this, but apparently other people may have overlooked it too. Maybe you can add it to the OP? ;)
When Alyennnah is not here, she's probably crafting. Quite possibly at Alyennah's Crafting in Wayrest. Or maybe she's out there, looking for new materials, recipes and styles to use in crafting. She wants to craft all the things.

There you go, just a piece of the action.

(Doesn't work meaning I did it but don't have the achievement)

Thanks for the additional information, folks. We can assure you that unlocking a dye on one character should unlock it across your account. As others have helpfully pointed out here, you may need to log into each of your characters individually to get the dyes to register across your account after this most recent patch (v1.3.4).

That said, there are some achievements that are currently not working as intended, and we're investigating them now. For a list of those achievements, please head over and check out our official Broken Achievements thread. Also listed in that thread are any achievements that we added that were not retroactively applied, such as the achievements you mentioned, @Tokstar‌.

Just to confirm, @Mortuum, when you put on your superior and epic armor sets, did you also equip all superior/epic jewelry and weapons as well?

I have never read so much hogwash - a lot of text to complain about something that is factually incorrect.

    Dyes are unlocked account-wide.

However, they will not be unlocked until you have logged in on the character who holds the achievement for that dye.

So if you have several characters, just log in on each of them in turn to unlock all the dyes they have earned to the other characters on your account.

Yes, while crafting gear i had vr12 Warlock blue set(jewelery) on me for sure, which i am still using and it is easy to check, or i can post screenies if needed. I have full set of trial purple jewelery too, but it was not equipped while crafting gear. Weapons same, im using 1h sword and shield and restoration staff, and 100% sure had all blues equipped at some point, because as i said, wanted to see differences between qualities.

So yeah at 1 stage i 100% had all blues equipped, and achi didnt triggered.

okay so the problem is with just one character and it happens to be the one that accomplished the achievement's but I also found out today when I went to the smithy to craft some low level gear for an alt that this character no longer knows all 1-9 crafting styles!?!? little confused on how that disappeared so screw it my alt is now my main. I just don't get why it's only my main character who got screwed up why couldn't it have been an alt :'(

Noticed 1 more im missing:Truly Legendary, apply legendary glyph to legendary piece of gear. Crafted my both sets after 1.3, and each piece has legendary glyph crafted by friend. So it is 14 pieces of armor, and 4 weapons(2 staffs, sword and shield), and still no achievement.

Both items need to be crafted by you, on one character, to get this achievement, nothing made prior will work and nothing made by different players, and that includes different characters on your own account.

For superior and epic attire, it will only register if you have all slots equipped with blue at once and purple at once, not a combination of both, and that includes jewelry
