Riften crashing the game?

A couple/few days ago, I had one of my characters become unplayable because the game would crash as soon as that character loaded into the game. The solution was for somebody at ZOS to move that character out of Riften and into Eastmarch. After that all was peachy.

Unfortunately, today it happened again. Same character, same general location in Riften (northern area near the burned out houses and the docks), and game is crashing when trying to re-load that character. So I've submitted a ticket to have that character re-located again.

I'll make it a point to stay away from that area of the zone until the cause has been identified. Unfortunately, my options in that zone are becoming rather limited as the quest lines are leading me to that area.

I should note that it's the VR5 version of Riften (dunno if that matters).

Anybody else having similar problems?

I experienced the same problem in the same area as you described in the VR5 version. This is my main character and pretty much the only one I play. So i guess I'm off to make a new character until it's fixed.

@tunepunk I wound up just doing every other quest in the zone that didn't take part there in Riften. Then when those quests were all I had left, I had talked with customer support and they recommended that I finish them out. They explaind that if my character continues to get stuck, they have no problems with me pestering them to move my character to another zone, and rinse/repeat as needed. Mainly because it would help them narrow down the issue that needs to be fixed. Luckily for me, it only happened one more time since the day I first posted this thread, so it didn't take me long to get through it and then get the heck out.

That toon will never return to VR5 Riften (apologies to guilds owning kiosks in that area).
