Collectibles finally!

you need multiple in one category to get an achivement now, and you have to "use" the collectible to have it count towards said achivement.

I'm so glad the tool tip is really clear on that, otherwise people would be left wondering why they didn't unlock the achievement ...


In other news, i already sold a few duplicates in the guild store. It seems there is a market for those trophies.

In other news, i already sold a few duplicates in the guild store. It seems there is a market for those trophies.

No you didn't, they are account bound.....

Anyway, anyone got a link for a got drop guide for any of this? I have bit and pieces but nothing really good, anyone?

k, I manage to find a lvl 5 collectible with an alt, is this collectible only viable getting as lvl 5? or will it be able to drop of other similar mobs?

if not then collectibles like those are insanely hard to get

Grey drops seem to be broken (leather, guts etc.) stuff you get from mobs 5+ levels below you... So it isn't clear/known if collectables will drop from lower mobs or not.

If you kill enough creatures, undead, robots, etc., you can earn the "Monster Hunter" title. I wear mine proudly . Too bad they just now fixed the collectibles, or I surely would have had a few more than I do .

Oh... ok. yeah 5 is just the minimum level to use it (I think all the collectibles are level 5).

Any mudcrab can drop a mudcrab collectable... but currently you have to be no more than 5 levels higher than the monster for you to get one (all VR monsters are in level for VR characters).

So monsters that show up a lot (like mudcrabs and skelletons)can be gotten from level 1 to VR 14. Other animals like Kagouti, only appear at small level bands (level depends on your alliance).

freaking awesome trophy dropped from a lvl 5 mob

will this named "freaking awesome trophy" drop for higher level mobs to, or will it only drop from that lvl 5 mob.....

They drop out of any level mob as long as it's the correct mob.

Pics or it didn't happened buddy, all collectibles are Bound to the account, and this is coming from a person that's about half way done with them, not one, including the tentacle, can be trade or sold at all to other players. And in case you happen to find a way, better start reporting it.

I ain't your buddy, but i can certainly post a pic tonight when i get off work, since i still have one in my bank.

I don't think i can go back that far in the guild store history, otherwise i could show you the notes from when i sold them because they did show up in the store log and i did get my money for them.

I can fix this situation: Bleiger's Tentacle isn't a collectible.

"Collectible == Trophy" but "Trophy != Collectible"

I know there are two version of his tentacle , one you need for the quest, which has a generic icon and is stored under your quest items and one that drops from him randomly when you are *not* on the quest, which has a unique icon and is marked as a trophy.

Collectibles are trophies. Trophies may or may not be collectibles.

That i know, i guess i simply assumed that because his appendages started dropping for me after the patch that introduced collectibles that his were part of that change.

It'll be easy to go through all the collectible achievements and see if Bleiger is in there or not.

It would certainly explain why i was able to sell them ...

It's a bit weird that they are calling the collectibles a "Trophy" too even though they are different from the regular "Trophy" items (they're also put in different tabs in the inventory). I believe in the past they were simply marked as "Collectible" (as could be seen in the ESOHead database back then).

I know we already established that Bleiger's Tentacle is not a collectible, but i'm going to post the screenshot here anyways.

Note that this is the only Trophy i currently have that is *not* bound and in addition has the word "Unique" under the Trophy label.

If you don't use it, can it do other things? like cool emotes or something? I've had a few, clicked 'em, and they disappeared... can they still be used to perform whatever it is they did after using them?

There was a bug right after the game went LIVE where ZOS accidentally sent the mails for your Imperial Edition multiple times.
I got 3 of everything, the pets, rings of Mara, the explorer pack treasure maps etc.

Yes, the trophies can be banked (as shown in my screenshot), some do things, like the Court Whistle and Finvir's Trinket, others seem to not serve any purpose.

for the time being yes, well and you get cool titles you can put on your char from some of the achievements

I should clarify in my first post. I mean collectibles trophys. I know that I can hold "common" trophys in bank (but thx anyway).

Seeing as there are a few collectors in here, I'm curious what you all think about the Tomb Urn collectible under Undead. The description says

The embalmed dead from many cultures in Tamriel often have their organs stored in separate containers.

The first thing that comes to mind are mummies but we don't have them in ESO. And Draugr already have a collectible, I certainly hope it ain't liches cause they are very annoying to find....

Ok so basically I would need to make a new character and grind for any trophies in the levels +5 until I get them because after 5 levels above it is done unless that mob is at the level you are in?

Yes, i have moved usable collectibles through the bank to one of my main crafting characters and then had him use them to unlock them.
