Collectibles finally!

After weeks ingame and now I'm V5, I finally got my first collectible!

Not having any luck myself... making me craaaazy.. Was killing zombies and skellies all last night. Right before I logged out, some guy wanders by and "helps" with the last 2 I was killing.

Then he asks me.. What is (Whatever name of zombie item is)?

I've had 3 or 4 drop, good thing is I got a double drop from a Dwemer spider so I could give one of them to an alt.

Interesting, my drops have been bound, thought it meant character, not account.

I've received a few myself... about 3-4 I think. My boyfriend made me click on one to see what would happen and it just disappeared from my inventory lol.

Gotta use them to get them to register in your achievements so that wasn't a bad thing.

The collectible items only drop if the mob is within 5 levels of you, (or 44+ if you are a Vet) so no point farming low level mobs to try to get the collectible as you will be there forever.

Did you "use" the chitin? If not, that's why it's not showing in your achievements

you need multiple in one category to get an achivement now, and you have to "use" the collectible to have it count towards said achivement.

Interesting, my drops have been bound, thought it meant character, not account.

All bound items are account wide not character as far as I know, I've yet to come across any exception.

Still having no luck. 3 days killing zombies and skellies in Glenumbria vet 1 (as a vet 12).

Gonna try something else.

I got a collectible from a vet 2 Dwarven Spider yesterday in Bthanual with my vet 2 sorc. Woho.
(On PTS my Lvl 3 character got one from a flame atronach in Wailing Prison.)

I so far received a flame atronoch heart, a scorpion barb and something else i can't recall right now.

I've found 4 so far (all on a VR 12 character):

• Chattering Skull: From some monster in Molavar dungeon (Craglorn)
• Burning Daedroth Eye: From the first Daedroth I killed in Bangkorai (VR 10) and from a lv 48 Daedroth inside the Black Forge in Coldharbour.
• Banekin Horn: After killing about 15 Banekins in Bangkorai (VR 10)
• Blighted Iron Collar: After killing about 500 Scamps in Stonefalls (VR 1) and once again after killing about 20 Scamps in Coldharbour (lv 47).

Nothing from killing several hundred Spiders in Bangkorai.
Nothing from killing 1000 Spider Daedra in Coldharbour.
A friend has found 3 collectibles in a single run of a group dungeon on a lowlevel character.

I got my first collectable this weekend from an Atronach. I promptly destroyed it as I needed the bag space.

Don't destroy them, silly boy! They are destroyed when you "use" them and they are added to on your achievement count

Wait, you destroyed it? You should have used it! That's how you get it to apply towards your achievements, and when you use it it disappears from your inventory so it frees up the bag space.

I've had 3 or 4 collectibles drop on alts since the patch - I promptly gave them to my main for him to use them and get the progression towards the achievements. I'm really glad that the collectibles are bound to the account, and that they don't just automatically get put towards the achievements of the character you happen to be playing on when the Random Number Gods bless you with one.

So these collectibles unlock achievements that unlock dyes assuming you get any after killing 1,000 spider daedra.....think I'll go fishing instead.

Next time I will use the darn thing. Its not like I don't have enough pretty colors to pick from anyway. I figured whatever achievement there was was given upon receipt of the thing. Lack of Bag Space Makes Me Do Bad Things.....

Well they did manage to kill enough spider daedra to get that part of the kill daedra achievement. And there's all that gold and loot they must have got, so the effort isn't a total waste.

Well they certainly deserved something more than unlocking a dye. That had to take a great deal of time and patience.
