Maintenance for the week of May 4:
• PC/Mac: No maintenance – May 4

Really? This is a finished game? Glitching through walls, combat ceasing to function, etc.

I certainly agree the " programmers " for ESO seem to be totally incompetant. And I have encountered my share of grief trying to play.
However, I feel I should note that I just installed a new Docsys 3.0 modem and router the other day and I notice a marked difference in the responsiveness and lag issues. My cable provider had been advertising they had doubled their internet speed ( to compete with new offerings from the phone company ) but I wasn't seeing that speed increase. They told me I would have to replace my aging ( 4 years old is aging? ) modem / router with Docsys 3.0 equipment in order to see the increase.

Of course they hope to ( and probably do ) sell the equipment to customers who don't know any better that they can buy their own and not rent / buy from the cable company.

So far, I see a 50% increase in download from 20 Mbps to 30+ Mbps but the BIGGEST difference is the upload speed. It went from 4 - 5 Mbps to 25+ Mpbs ... just about as fast as the download!!!

    According to speedtest.net.

That tremendous difference in upload speed could be why I'm not seeing ( or haven't so far ) big lag problems.

So, although the programmers demonstrate a high level of incompetence ... it may not ALL be their fault.

Older modems and routers could be at fault for < some > of the lag.
    If I wanted a Signature I would have a Signature --- but i don't want one so I don't have one.

Alas most EU broadband is seriously assymetric copper in the UK.

Maybe this "POS" of a game will get better in a year or two. If the developers turn it around then I'll come back and support this product.

Again, not just the programmers. Their PR department seems to be filled with utter morons as well.

Threads like this one pop up, and instead of addressing them and trying to quell the concerns of their Customers, they avoid it and ignore it; seeming to hope it'll "just go away".

Whoever is in charge of their PR department and making decisions to do things like this should be fired. Point blank.
