Amazing dialog

I wonder how many people appreciate the detailed dialog in this game.. specifically the situational awareness of the NPC’s. If on a quest where an NPC follows you they usually having something different to say in every new area. The same for the quest timing… for example if you’re on your way back to turn in a quest then you’re at another timing interval where if you talk to all related NPC’s they usually have something specific to say related to that timing.

I just think it’s cool. I see so many people just fast click through some amazing quest dialog and it makes me wonder what those people get out of this game.

There's a lot of amazing ambiance and detail in the game which I really appreciate. I just wish it applied to species/choices (e.g. telling me how godawful Khajiit are when my character's a Khajiit).

    You and me both.

As far as I can tell, it gives them something to whine about one the forums when they decide that there "isn't enough content," after skipping 90% of what the game has to offer.

It would appear one of those "spam through the quest text and then complain about lack of content in the game" people came through and gave you all a "lol" vote. Sigh...

I like when the written dialogue says one thing, but the spoken dialogue is completely different to the point where it's almost not even the same subject. I know the Balreth quest line has (had?) a few moments like this.

I think it's great, it really brings the world to life. A lot of interesting stories and NPC characters out there. I must admit though, I'm VR10 finishing up the last zone in Cadwell's book and I'm burnt out (have been going for full quest achievements before I proceed to next zone). It's starting to be like "yeah, yeah, another quest, blah blah, wrap it up B."

Totally Agree! This alone so sets this game beyond and above most others. It can be a joy sometimes to just take it all in. Takes my breath away at times.

I get that from Dunmer NPCs who say things like "There are too many Argonians about these days." They even say it in Black Marsh. Plus one of the Stonefalls quests involves a village full of bigots who look down on Argonians. It actually fits the lore/setting pretty well, so I don't mind.

There are lots of other details as well, such as a dog waiting at his owner's grave.

If I am leveling another character in the same alliance I will sometimes click through some of it, but not if it is new material.

i like the stories, the voice over guy from the Navy commercials is cool. I've always like his voice and am glad Zos gave him work.
There is only one god and his name is Death. And there is only one thing we say to Death: “Not today...”

"We read fantasy to find the colors again, I think. To taste strong spices and hear the songs the sirens sang. There is something old and true in fantasy that speaks to something deep within us, to the child who dreamt that one day he would hunt the forests of the night, and feast beneath the hollow hills, and find a love to last forever somewhere south of Oz and north of Shangri-La."

Id like to see more of this. There is some, probably more than ive noticed, theres so many non quest related npcs with dialogue, ive been trying to talk to as many as possible. My character's khajiit, and theres this awful racist high elf woman on a bridge outside of one of the towns in auridon. When you talk to her she says, "shouldnt you be in the forge? Oh wait, you dont work here, doooo you? A shame. Its the only thing your kinds good for" in this sickeningly condescending tone of disgust. i think I yelled something at her through the screen.
It made me appreciate not having been a native in the days of the british empire.
