Umm.. Zos, weapon swapping is now completely messed!

the title says it all.

Now, after a couple swaps... the bar completely seizes and refuses to swap at all,

..at least in pvp

Not only can I not switch weapons... I also can't enter ANY keep doors. The 'press e' shows... but when I press e nothing happens.

I've relogged and entirely quit and re-entered the game... and both of these issues are still persisting.

Why is everything so bloody difficult for you!?

Now, nothing that requires me to 'press E' to interact with is functioning...


Also, my one weapon has magically unequipped itself... and I now have ZERO weapons available to use.

I also have the weapon swap issue, My hotbar is switching abilities but my weapon is stuck on #2, also I cannot unequip the weapons, haven't tried armor yet.. Totally screwed up ... I also am seeing a lot of combat lag, animation glitches... oh man what a mess. I submitted a bug request... hopefully they fix this asap.. makes the game completely unplayable.. unless they want to give us more slots ... (which they should do anyway)

I wouldn't go that far. I never have. I also don't use any mods. So their mods are probably out of date and breaking stuff too.

Hey I'm 99% sure its the foundry Tactical Combat Mod, I had thought it was disabled but was still on, once disabled and ui reload fixed the issue.

scratch that.. for me its an issue with being in stealth and using a bow... if I stand up from being in stealth I can switch weapons again...

So yeah weapon swap is broken

Having the same issue. I can swap to my secondary weapon(a bow) just fine, but after that it locks up. Further attempts to swap weapons will swap the skill bars as it should, but not the weapons. After this I cannot equip or unequip any weapons. The only solution is to relog, which is not much of a solution.

Just tested the two characters I can swap on. Both worked fine. One has sword and board primary with destruction staff as secondary, the other character has sword and board primary with restro staff as secondary. The only issue I am seeing is I have "show helmet" turned off and it works on my primary weapon. When I switch to secondary weapon, my helmet shows. I've turned it on and off again in settings yet the bug still remains.

Exactly my issue, except its only happening to me when crouched, or at least it seems to work most of the time when just standing up..

When I swapped my weapons the skill bar changed but the weapon itself did not lol. I was using staff attacks with my bow Then it froze up lol. I reported in game already, but I'm glad I'm not alone in my troubles.

Yeah, it definitely seems to revolve around bows.

Also, is anyone else having bow skills fail to do damage now?

I've crashed two times so far from weapon swapping. I know it's the cause, since it crashes the second I press swap.

Edit: I have a bow/dual swords. I have had my bow fail to load, and end up using my swords with bow animations. I have also had the arrows turn invisible when drawing them.

Only happens to me in PvP.
Involves Bows.
Skills still change but the weapon won't.
When this occurs all objects requiring "press e" to interacts cease to function.
Relogging and quitting/re-entering can fix it but aren't 100%.

OK, one solution is: stand up out of hide/stealth and swap weapons... it seems to resolve the issue.

I have a DK, DW and Bow. Admittedly to date no major problems to be honest, until the last major patch.
Now occasionally (once or twice a gaming session) I have the weapon swap bug where I end up DW with a Bow in my hands, funny looking but really annoying.
Game doesn’t crash or freeze/lock up, just annoying visually. Did notice that if I swap back to the Bow and holster it then walk through a door it straightens it all back out so the animations match up again.

That "improved weapon caching" they did to speed up weapon swapping seems to be a piece of code that was particularly badly written.
I have all kinds of strange desyncing issues with the wrong model being shown, the wrong animation playing, wrong kind of damage being dealt and weapon-related abilites not working because the game thinks I have a different weapon equipped than what I have put in the weapon slot in the currently active bar.
