Yeah, a bio sheet would be nice.

I have two Argonians who are at VR at the moment, and they are either siblings or close cousins. One was raised closer to contact with those speaking the common tongue of Tamriel, and sounds like the typical Argonians you encounter.

The other was raised deeper in Black Marsh, and has a regional accent that is heavy on the "r" and "s" sounds, similar to the voice acting of one of the NPCs in Shadowfen. I don't use it in zone chat, no "Yessssss, that is interessssting", but it is reflected in the character's name.

My khajiit, born in the Elsweyr, is, long story short: nothing special. If anything, she is garbage.

The Knahaten flu was indiscriminate. It ravaged the fertile south where my family was then travelling in a caravan, trying its best to live in what was left in the homeland.

We were torn; between leaving our roots to survive, or triumphing through hardship so that we may maintain our culture and pride.
And I was torn; I reached the age of relentless curiosity and was not satisfied with staying stationary with my disputing family. Even though my brothers understood, they were also angry; I was one of the more 'human' khajiit in both form and tongue, and I was relied upon to sweeten any deal that brought us food. But I left anyway...in shame, fear and excitement.

I never found out if they perished.

I'm not a roleplayer, per se, but I do tend to use names with personal significance or that from non gaming interests that may apply, and / or refer to characters I've played in previous games.

Main here is Fleymark Trueshot, wood elf ranger of the Faydark Champions...The Greater Faydark ranger guild headed by Maesyn Trueshot and purveyor of the classic Trueshot Longbow located in the tree city of Kelethin. Which, by the way, is the name of my horse.

Which, of course, is a classic EQ reference...First name, like many names I use in games depending on the toon, goes back to the original Warlords...a fantastic series of turn based strategy games from the early 90s. I use lots of names from that game because it was the game that got me hardcore back into gaming in college. Had a fantasy theme to it and I still love everything about it to this day so I like to use the names.

I've played this character in EQ, EQ2, DAoC, and Rift. Multiple times on various servers and EMUs in all of those but rift. Rolled him as an alt in Vanguard but never got around to playing him. Thinking there was another game also but I'm drawing a blank at the moment. I still have some DLC stuff to do in Skyrim and only barely played Oblivion so I'm thinking new playthrus are in order with this char. I'm all about archers in games lately, even though rogues and assassins are usually my thing. Lots of crossover, I guess.

There are others, of course, but that's my main here.

Tanata Tharn

Distant niece of Abnur, at one time a serving girl to Septima, she made the mistake of confiding in someone who she thought she could trust and word of her disapproval of many of the Tharn family ways soon reached Septima's ear.

Septima gave her to Mannimarco, who ruthlessly tortured and butchered the poor girl and then went on to raise and torture her corpse.

Immediately upon meeting the Prophet and escaping Coldharbour she joined the Daggerfall Covenant and is very much looking forward to a future reunion with dear old Septima, though the sands of time drift slowly and there is much to learn and a great deal to accomplish before then.

Can't wait to see Abnurs face when he realises who's rescuing him

One of the great additions to the LotRO character sheets was a "Bio" tab where you could fill it with whatever text you'd like. Some people put inside jokes to friends, some logged their max-hits, and some put character backstory for people to read and enjoy. Offensive text could be reported and the player punished as if they wrote it in chat. It's a feature I'd like to see ESO implement, since it's relatively harmless and can add player-sourced character depth, even for people who aren't interested in actively RPing.

As for my characters:

One is a Dunmer who is travelling through the Dominion collecting Khajit to send back to Morrowind.
Another is your typical Altmer Nationalist.
My favorite is the displaced Imperial who found a home among the Nords.

I've started dabbling in RP recently, but I'm still working on my character's backstory. I just know that her thirst for power conflicts with her desire to do the right thing. Oh, and that she hates Altmer.

I've got a lot of alts, so I won't talk about all of them, but here are a couple.

My main is Caius Drusus, a former member of the Imperial legion. He comes from a military family, where honorable service to the Empire was always considered to be the most important virtue. He began to see corruption in the officers above him, and suspected some of them of blasphemy and treason. Caius was betrayed and sacrificed to Molag Bal because he was unwilling to turn a blind eye. On escaping from Coldharbor with the Prophet, he began working to strengthen the Daggerfall Covenant, in the hopes that they would prove less corrupt than the Empire, and that they could bring order and peace to Tamriel.

One of my alts is Aquilla Drusilla, another former member of the Imperial legion. She is a close cousin of Caius, who looked up to him growing up (she is a couple of years younger, but fairly close in age). While it was tradition for the men in the family to serve in the military, most of the women did not. Aquilla joined up partly to follow in the footsteps of her cousin. When Caius mysteriously disappeared, Aquilla started asking questions. This got her noticed by the wrong people (cultists), and she suffered the same fate as Caius. When she escaped Coldharbor she found herself in the Aldmeri Dominion, and she began searching for her lost cousin, while hoping that she could help the Dominion to put an end to the conflicts laying waste to Tamriel.

Another of my alts is a somewhat deranged Bosmer. Short, even for a Bosmer, he found it difficult growing up as an orphan, and began obsessively training to be strong enough and skilled enough to fight the bigger children who bullied him. He once overheard a visiting Nord mercenary remarking to the merchant he was guarding that "life is short and hard, like a bodybuilding elf." He vowed that if he was to be the shortest, he would also be the hardest, and began calling himself Short And Hard. Short And Hard will pick a fight with anyone at the slightest provocation, but he has a soft spot for underdogs, and will readily help out those in need.

OK, that last one was just because I felt like making the shortest, most muscular character the character creation tool allowed, and I wanted to call him Short And Hard.

Agreed that we should have some sort of "Character Bio" page we could edit to go along with our character for us role-players. It'd make a world of difference, and it's a common feature in MMOs now, too. Surprised, to say the least, that it's not been implemented in The Elder Scrolls Online yet.

I'm now getting back into the game after a long hiatus, but I had a Breton character in mind that I wanted to focus on and can't even role-play as he's is an Assassin/Thief-type character and the Justice System and The Dark Brotherhood/Thieves' Guild haven't been implemented yet.

'Till then, my thoughts on my character are centering around a Wood Elf that finds herself in Daggerfall with no recollection of her past; in other words, her story would begin to unfold far more as the game progresses, as well as her play-style. Haven't done something like this previously when role-playing, so it's something that I look forward to seeing myself.

I have several Backstories.

My Khajiit was a born wanderer, he grew up in an overcrowded home, surrounded by a loving family, but he got wanderlust. And so became a travelling sellsword, going from place to place, meeting the locals, occassionally killing them. Until by sheer happenstance he was captured my Molag Bals forces.

My Dunmer was a low level member of a Dunmer house, scheming his way up the ranks. He was a faithful worshipper of the Tribunal, because the Tribunal was the dominant religion where he lived. Anyway he tried to outscheme the wrong person and woke up in Coldharbour.

My Altmer was a young but potentially powerful sorceror, mixing with the right sort back on the summerset isles, slowly building connections and potentially oneday a powerbase for his aspirations. To this end he was trying a ritual to bind a Daedroth to his service, when the magic backfired and swallowed him Whole.

My Argonian was just minding his own business is the swamps, when a blinding blue light hit him.

Strangely all my backstories end up with being imprisoned in Cold Harbour and loosing my soul, which is frankly quite weird.

Mine is a tall Altmer with blue eyes and long white hair, his name is Rioghnan which means Little King in Irish Gaelic. He has a long back story but unless the whole rp thing takes off for this game, I won't get into it. He's the illegitimate child of a really infamous TES character and if you made a wild guess, yea... You probably guessed correctly. Hey, he was HOT in the trailer. There had to have been at least one chick in Nirn who noticed that! There's a whole explanation for it like I said but in any case, that's about it.

My main is Zara the Unforgiven. She did something in the past for which she feels she can never be forgiven. She won't discuss it with me or anyone else.

She decided she's going to walk the earth... like Caine from Kung Fu...

My characters are an extension of those characters I used when I played UO.

Akel Armen - Half Altmer / Half Breton Sorcerer.

When Akel was born, the fact that he was not a full blooded Altmer really ticked off his Altmer "father". From that point on his mother was treated like crap and he was always compared to his older brother (who was full blood and became the Queen's Guard). Akel also had the affinity for magic and started learning in secret. After his mother passes, he eventually he gets tired of being treated like crap, changes his last name to Armen and leaves. Over time (haven't gotten there yet in ESO), Akel's hate boils in him and he starts to become dark and evil in ways. However he does not see what he does as being evil and everything he does is for the "greater good". Akel has an end goal but doesn't really know what it is yet (nor do I at the moment).

My other character I am still building upon.

Nevros Drynn - Bosmer

Nevros Drynn is of "noble" blood but instead is an outlaw. A thief and a cocky ***, all he needs is his daggers and bow. (May also try werewolf on him when I get to that level range). Still a work in progress.

Considering me and my dad play together and took the pledge of Maria, there's no way I'm role playing that character with my dad anytime soon, or ever for that matter.

I role play my characters (I have 4 - 1 of each class)
1) Dragon Knight, Nord. Werewolf. Daggerfall Covenant. Became a werewolf by getting bitten by Faulchu. Lost his parents and was adopted by Orcs (Hence why he isn't in Ebonheart Pact)

2) Night Blade, Bosmer. Brackenbriar. Aldmeri Dominion. Nothing Special about him.

3) Sorcerer, Dunmer, former worshiper of Molag Bal before he was betrayed and imprisoned by him. (Would rather him be a Necromancer but I can't so he focuses on Daedric Summoning and Dark Magic), Vampire.

4) Templar doesn't have much story yet (only made him recently)

I don't really RP but I do give my characters backstories. I haven't fleshed out all the details however.

Danielle Aurorel - She's been my main RPG character since UO. In this form she's a breton from a well-off merchant family who can imagine few things more boring than entering the family business. Instead she focused on and destruction and restoration magic, changed her name and left home as soon as possible to explore the world. Along the way she stumbled on Molag Bal's plans, which went badly at first but is looking quite exciting right now, and somehow got dragged into the war between the alliances.

Danika Aurorel - The latest variant of my standard TES character, she's a khajiit born and raised in Elsweyr and quite definitively not a thief, although she does have occasional differences of opinion with certain individuals on the ownership of various items. She never considered herself especially political until the Dominion came to Elsweyr and she found she absolutely did not trust them and certainly wouldn't fight for them. Instead she left going north, and north again until she found herself in High Rock and met Danielle. She adopted the same last name and finally got to put her fascination with magic, blades, climbing and history to good use fighting Molag Bal.

Sagittam Ad Genu - In this case the name says it all. He's older than most characters in this game and had been all over Tamriel and seen wonders and horrors even before the War started. The injuries sustained when he was murdered by the Worm Cult mostly put a stop to that and he intended to retire to Auridon (not totally disconnected from the world, but suitably removed from most of it) and spends most of his time there crafting armor and weapons, but somehow he keeps being dragged back in to wider events.

M'asad Lynx, khajiit nightblade (dominion). Wears 7 medium armor and wields a 2h greatsword. Utilizes shadow and assassination abilities in conjunction with undaunted abilities.

M'asad Lynx is the last son of the Lynx clan, a Khajiiti bloodline originating from the dense, perilous jungles of southern elsweyr. The Lynx clan were followers of the dark mane in ancient times, and still follow the path of the dro'mathra, the dark gods embodied as the inverse phases of the moons. The Lynx clan's most prominent warriors, called Berserkers or Shadow Warriors, were greatly feared for their combination of brutal heavy weaponry and shadow magic, allowing them to teleport or become invisible mid-battle or even pull the life force from their opponents.

M'asad journeys tamriel as a sellsword, though with notable dominion loyalties and ties. He is the leader of the mercenary band known as Luna Sanguinis - the Blood Moon - a circle of werewolves often hired as shock troops in the alliance war. While the group as a whole has no alliance war ties and will work for the highest bidder, many of their members are loyal to the dominion and will turn down contracts that force direct conflict with their homelands.



Just to note: I dont RP in ESO (at least not on consoles, now that I've transferred). There were the occasional bouts of RP on PC, but this game just does not provide the tools or environment necessary to encourage quality roleplay. In fact, not a single MMO I've played since oldschool starwars: galaxies has had decent roleplay.
Still, I like to have an envisioned history for my character, especially since I used to write fanfic.

So my poor little dark elf sorc couldn't cough up enough septims to cover her mage community college tuition and had to drop out. She used her remaining septims to go hit the tavern on her way back home. She met some guy, Sam- something, where he challenged her to a drinking contest. All she knew was that he was paying- so free drinks. So she accepted, everything becomes kinda hazy after that. She might have called a cult member of Molag Bal a currish he-fossil, but she can't be sure. She woke up with a major headache in friggin Coldharbor. Suddenly this uppity Nord femgiant comes over, frees her but gets her wrapped up in some crazy business with a Prophet and some other jazz. She feels mildly obligated to help. So with her trusty clannfear companion"George" she's off to go on an epic long tavern hopping - possibly world saving adventure!
