I Like M'iaq

Anyone know exactly how the spawn for M'iaq works? I have heard he can appear in three places on a map, not all of which are documented. I don't understand how the spawn cycles through though. If I wait around in one place, what is the likelihood of him appearing? How long should I wait?

I saw him almost immediately in Khenarthi's roost, but it's been a bit in Bal Foyen.

I think there is an addon for M'Aiq if you can't be bothered searching for him :)

Well I am searching for him, he just isn't always where he's supposed to be in any of the three places by the time I get to each one.

where is this addon, I couldn't find it.

And how does he live so long anyway?

Some of the places were easier for me than others. Grahtwood was a serious pain, but Auridon wasn't. Bal Foyen was very buggy for me - I saw him, he disappeared, then reappeared immediately, I spoke with him, then he disappeared again.

From what I've read, he does not yet spawn in Coldharbour, but I've found him in every other region.

Correct, regarding Coldharbour. The devs have admitted he doesn't spawn there, and have said they will fix it sometime in the future. If anyone knows if they've said when, I'd love to know :)

I waited in bal foyen for awhile in overlook point, but no luck. I haven't had any luck in auridon. Got very lucky in malabol tor while I was trying to find the quest that I am missing for the achievement (still haven't found it)

Yea they just pass the name down i think he also says it in skyrim.

Edit: yea he did "M'aiq's father was also called M'aiq. As was M'aiq's father's father. At least, that is what his father said. But then again, you can never trust a liar."

None of this answers my question. :(

I saw m'iaq in auridon today, but I was on an alt.

I wish the color you get for the achievement was nicer, I would wear it proudly if it was like a pure white or something.

Nobody knows how the spawning of M'aiq works, and nobody waits around for him, there are sites with a list of locations for him, just keep moving between them until you find him.

If you find nobody please ask him to explain it to you (reference to a character in a book BTW) B)

The Bal Foyen one is odd/tricky as I recall. You need to have the nearby netches in sight for him to appear (sounds strange but worked for me anyway). There's more info in this thread:

In general M'aiq has very long spawn times. I was standing in reaper's march for 3 hours until he spawned. I would just go through all the maps and see if he is at the point and just do some quests and drop by from time to time and see if he has spawned. It can be very frustrating and he did cost me some nerves.

I've found him on first try, or at least after a couple of reloads, in most cases. The only places he really was a pain to find were Shadowfen and The Rift. And Coldharbour of course, where he does not show up at all.

The only quests I haven't done -that I know of- is one in malabal tor that I can't find that is keeping me from getting the achievement for doing all the quests in AD< and a number in cyrodiil. I still have about 3 villages in the achievment to finish. Besides there being random quests all over.
