I've had some folks follow me around when I've been scouting for treasure chests, runestones and other assorted mats.

If it gets too annoying — as in, they grab the item of interest before I can get to it because I'm fighting off the nearby enemy NPC — then I might return the favor by finding a 3-person mob and leading them back to the offending player.

    Fortunately, it's a rare occurrence.

I just wonder how this is supposed to work? I know someone who was grinding in some dungeon faced similar behavior, as some other people tried to lure mobs at him.

The mobs are aggro to you so unless the person is stupid enough to attack the mobs they will be no harm to him. This might work on bots as they have some auto attack mob coded in them so once you lure bunch of mobs to them they will attack those.

*shrug* Some people don't realize the mobs won't attack them if they just stand there. It's almost an instinct for some folks to defend themselves when they see a red dot approaching them.

How about 4 people dropping their ultimates in a crowded bank while a 5th person spams Impulse. Does that qualify? Happened in Riften this morning. VR pranksters.

Seen some trolling in chat (in the first free month after release, and again now after the steam release), but otherwise nothing.

...and then there are the opportunists who stand next to you, eyeing the 3 mob group consisting of 2 conjurers and a DK. You're thinking, good this should be easy with the two of us, same level, etc. You charge in all tanky, aggro all three of them, and this other player... takes advantage and just runs past, leaving you to deal with the casters and the conjured meanies & that green DK ultimate all by yourself.

Sure, it works out okay, but, seriously? If this were actually rare, that would be one thing. But some people are just antisocial, I guess.

Bots still exist, they're still causing problems and 'legit' players are using them to farm and grind in Coldharbour.

In the forum community I'm sometimes labeled as though I'm somehow reprehensible or a sociopath because I'm a player that enjoys PvP and is interested in the new NPC killing feature.
Being discriminated against by other players because I enjoy particular game systems causes me grief.

I was once severely taken to task in these forums (more than a year ago now, thankfully) for suggesting that ganking is griefing... as it turns out, ganking is more like the national pastime in Tamriel, a sacred obligation, all thoughts of sportsmanship and rules of engagement thrown to the winds because, LOL dude, don't be a n00b, this is a MMO, ROFL.

Yeah, whatever, I don't do PvP much, either lol...

As far as I've seen it with two Pact characters by now, the bank in Riften seems to be the most popular place to constantly spam skills/spells. And yes, mostly VR's.

I guess it's because it's the last zone of the Pact areas and they just come back from Coldharbour (and beyond) to show off the new achieved spells. Like 5-year-old kids who show their parents what new picture they have drawn ;)

But not only VR's; in the bank it's just enough when an area-based levelled player spams healing spells all the time, you can barely see your inventory. And they seem to never run out of magicka, I don't know why^^

Besides of that, but still in Riften: the top of the cake is the constantly repeating "it's here!", which almost seems like the devs were/are trolling (no offense) ;)

Most of my experiences fall into two types:

    1) Players following between spawn nodes (especially runes) and then waiting until you take on any guarding mob before jumping on the resource (I once had someone stand there motionless for 5 minutes just waiting for me to pull the mob).

    2) If you try and RP in any space that is immediately available to the public, this has mostly applied to Inns, you always get someone, or on one occasion 3 people, jumping around you, spamming AOE effects and filling /say with spam.

    ...great times.

@Snugzal Just to be a counter to your point about others not attacking mobs when they are clearly eyeing them. For me, the opposite, the not attacking mobs you are obviously going to attack, is the social and right thing to do. My motto is don't get involved unless another player needs help. [unless the other player acts like a tool, then let em die. lol]

All bank areas have this issue - its [snip] ridiculous. Occassionally some <bleep> thinks its fun to run a blood fountain or the mages who just have to have their clanifers or that flying thing with them all-the-time. I suggested awhile back that they make bank areas non-magical.

These are not exactly griefing but I have been out grinding and see someone try to round up every mob out there and run off with them. I laughed about it because they pulled more than they could and died anyway.

That and a lot of sorcs bolt escaping to beat you to a node they see you going after.

I haven't seen BOTS in about a month or so; ocassionally I do see some dual boxer's though but that's not on topic. Honestly I don't see any griefing what so ever.

    This ^^^

At Banks, Vendors, Crafting Tables, Quest Givers etc where folk are trying to concentrate on what they're doing and it's very distracting.

I have a V12 too but I don't feel the need to show of like a jerk.

I now report every one of them for harassment and suggest others do the same.

It's no skin off of my nose, I don't even use guild banks. But it upsets my guildies. One of my guilds is very locked down and only the GM and top rank officers can access it, the other is completely open and insists on trusting people until they prove themselves untrustworthy.

It's like Goldilocks and the bears' porridge. People complain that one is too strict with their bank rules, then others complain that the other is too lenient with theirs. I'm just like whatever, I'm having bank porridge.

Yes, I usually stand back and see if they can do it without me interferring, and I will usually only jump in if they are in trouble. With Dolmens and Bosses as an immediate exception, I assume everyone needs help with them, I know I do.
