We have jerkins, why not skirts?

I really like the idea of a Battlemage and love playing it as a Templar. The combination of ranged and melee attacks, weaving fire and light into a massive explosion of carnage... mama likes.

But wearing all cloth just seems... meh. It's not intimidating enough.

A lot of people cried and ZOS gave us jerkins so the manly men could wear cloth without wearing a dress. Great. Love it.

But what I want is a robe-bottom. A kilt, skirt, whatever, to go with my heavy chest piece. Heavy chest, shoulders and belt, cloth skirt, hood, gloves and ... well, boots can go either way. It would take almost no effort to implement and give the Battlemage look some more OOMPH, I feel.

What are your thoughts?

That armor, on the left, is a full set of light armor.

Intimidating, yes, but, as that's a Pact PvP set there's no guarantee that Covenant and Dominion player will have access to armor as aggressive.

Another issue I'd like as a Battlemage and wearing a mix of cloth and heavy, is, as an Orc, I have a racial passive that gives bonuses for heavy armor. I'd very much like to have an aggressive, intimidating Battlemage 'look' instead of a Magus, kinda scholarly appearance that comes with most full cloth sets.

I'm one of the people who was very much in favour of cloth shirts/jerkins, and I think it'd be cool to have a kilt/skirt option too.

The daeric light armor has a skirt, its the only one in the game I know about.
Skirt + jerkin give some interesting options for cool designs.

the leg peice of the mage trials armor also has a "skirt"

The can easy make "skirt" leg armor that look like mail or even plate if want to it is very easy to make and for game which the say you wear what every type of armor you want you can't wear what type of armor you want for fact is if you are spells cast only way you can mana and spells bonus is if you only wear light armor which really sucks for i want make battle mage wear plate armor and 2 hand sword but i wont get any bonus for skills tree armor if a wear heavy armor

Skirts were good enough for Roman soldiers and they kicked ass. No reson they shouldn't appear in the game

You're right. This isn't a Korean MMO. It's an Elder Scrolls game.

I combine skirts and armor all the time in Elder Scrolls games.

Akaviri Sword is a Katana, Japanese Samurai had a skirt-like look with their Armour, and it was viable (it was the lack of steel that was their problem).

So it's not an unreasonable request.

I see no reason not to.

I think the only reason they have not added it yet, is because they need more time to make the models/the art team is working on other stuff right now (new content and the pending BD/TG Styles).

"skirt" armor is more common then most people think just look at the Vikings mail skirt armor and leather hide armor was very common by the vikings

if it helps, I think the daedric light breeches still come out as a skirt. Maybe,.. I know a friend was using them because he likes the heavy chest/skirt bottom as well.

I don't know, maybe it was an old set, but it's worth a shot.

No they dont teach history. If they did then we wouldn't have these comments about Asian mmos. Skirts, kilts and other stuff provided more mobility in battle. I support this idea.

If I'm not mistaken, Her Hands armor in Morrowind was a heavy armor sort of skirtish armor. So there is lore to support that request.

Skirts were worn by: Celts, Saxons,Vikings, Goths, Britons, Romans, Greeks... In fact almost all warriors from every culture have been known to wear skirts all around the world.....
