Relax, it's coming in a week or two.

Such impatience. Be thankful this isn't WoW ("We're going for faster expansion cycles, and patch releases". year 1 - a patch every three months or so. Year 2 - nothing; it'll be more than a year since SoO released by the time they get WoD out of the gate, I bet.)

Even if ESO updates come regularly every 8 weeks, they're still being pretty darned regular.

And at least the mini-patches involve lots of fixes, and not just a ream of notes on how everyone's class got screwed over for pve because of pvp "balance" issues.

Since they said a couple of weeks ago they were expecting the EU server switch to happen towards the end of July or beginning of August they'd be stupid to try to rollout U3 while that's going on or imminent.

Counting is your friend, people. Updates have been coming around the 6 week mark, which is within the 4-6 week window they promised them in.

The only targets that matter to a corporate are financial, and I see nothing of that in when U3 drops.

Here, this thread. I made an assumption that by a 4-6 week mark, taking the proposed maximum efficiency of 4 weeks and used the June 25th as a date for starting point. I have expectations, and in no way did I mention it is official deadline.

I would like to see smooth patch finally. If they need 4 weeks more - let them have that time coz its better to wait in decent shape then to wait while not being able to play. I think that ZOS cant afford bug explosions anymore.

I have expectations, it's as simple as that. Words such as back-pedalling, troll or cover up doesn't apply to me. I'm merely stating the fact that I believe it as such.

I never said the post is accurate, neither have I stated it's inaccurate. And the original thread and my replies? Not so inflammatory. Words are just words, it depends on the reader to perceive it as is.

They just recently patched the PTS so I'd be really surprised if it hits this week. Most likely August as others have said.

And yes, anyone who understands English will disagree with your use of the word here, because a deadline denotes that the specific date you mentioned is a hard and fast time that things need to be done by before the product is considered "late." This is not the case. You claim you knew this, but you created this imaginary deadline date anyway.

The only update goal they have set for themselves is 4-6 weeks. That means that we should expect the 1.3 update before August 6th. But if it's a few days before or after, it won't matter. There is no deadline.

Expectations expectations. I signed up for constant updates of 4-6 weeks, and I believe I am allowed have expectations of it arriving every 4 weeks? Should they constantly push updates every 6 weeks, why would they put in a window of 4-6w?

It is only logical to say that they believe they could be efficient enough to push it by 4w mark. That being said, constant 6w push as compared to 4w push, that's the loss of 1 update with every push.

If I sign a contract of delivery date 4 weeks from signing, rejection 6 weeks, I expect it to be delivered by 4th week and not the 6th. Standard contracts also include pro-rated cost of demurrage or late delivery.

Assuming you would pick at everything I type, I understand that this is not a contract of that sort, and there's the TOS of which I have agreed to. But I'm a free man, free to play what I want or leave any game, as well as free to create assumptions and have expectations.

This is my personal expectation, and in the gaming world, personal expectations of buyers are just as important as financials. Everybody's expectations count towards the market share.

Edit: You may not have a deadline for them, but I do. And I hope ZOS does have a deadline too.

Op, if you signed up to this game because you expect updates every four weeks, so far you've been incredibly disappointed and upset with ZOS for not living up to the expectations they have given you.

Experience and observation show that this game has been updated every six weeks, which was part of the listed expectation, and thus is well ahead of that.

However, the real crux is the use of the words 'expectation' and 'deadline', which imply much more. To paraphrase ZOS, they said that they 'hope and will try' to release new content every 4-6 weeks, if they can, but aren't promising anything. That's important, as they left themselves an out. Their quoted statement can be found in the FAQ, if I remember correctly.

Anyone who would try to hold them hard to this implied timeline is intentionally trying to have something against ZOS. That person is looking for something to be mad about.



I would agree, for once, with @nerevarine1138, that the content of the Ops post was more inflammatory than it needed to be, and intentionally attacked ZOS in an effort to create drama and division amongst the playerbase.

One can only hope the mods resolve this shortly.

Everyone is entitled to have expectations, but you are not entitled to expect others (ZOS in this case) to meet them just because it's what you want, based on your own idea of what their deadline should be.

I'd ratger wait another month if it means the patch will not break anything. But if my expectation is not met, it's fine too.

Please understand, ZOS does not owe you anything. You won't get compensated or any such nonsense if the new update takes longer than 6 weeks.

Incomplete sentences rub me the wrong way. If you have something to say, formulate your sentence. Leaving it to another's imagination (no doubt hoping they share your opinion) is just presumptuous.
