Disabling guild notification sounds

I'm a member of a large trading guild. Whenever a member join or leaves the guild (i.e. very often), loud notification sounds are played (a gong-sound and dagger-sounds). Is there a way to disable these notification sounds, or guild notifications in general? They're very distracting.
