@ZOS - "Data load failure" is still a HUGE problem and your support team has NO IDEA what to do

Just want to let it be know publicly that this error occurs every-time and anytime i play regardless of where I play, how I play and who I play with.

It didn't start until the Tuesday patch...that big one after Monday's didn't happen.
I've done the repair at least 25 times. I've reinstalled the game twice.
I've opened port but @ZOS its not my PC or anyone else who is having these issues.

LOTS of people are experience this.
You guys added something with this lighting stuff and regardless of the settings it continues to happen.

Please fix this Monday or understand you're going to loose a lot of customer cause, we can't play this way.

*The critical error pops up a window outside the game that minimizes the game. You can debug, ignore or abort. If you ignore it, you can go back to playing but in a few seconds or less than 2 minutes it pops up again. each time you ignore more things in teh game do not work like inter-actables...Quest markers not appearing on the screen or on the map...until the point where you cant interact with much at all.

Debug sends a report to you which I've been doing for over a month.
I contacted service and spend two weeks trying unless options like opening ports and messing with my router.

I'm not having issues connecting to the server, my computer isn't having issues. The GAME is having issues with whatever changes you all made.

Just an FYI that its not resolved...not sure what else to do as the service folks seem to be clueless and are treating this like a network problem.

All was fine from October 2013 until June's patch. Pretty sure my PC is not the issue or my network. All other MMORPG, RPG and high end graphically intensive games and demo games and xbox one games runs just fine.

    As you said, it came with the big update. I'm on Verizon Fios hooked directly to the router, and it happens several times per session. Daughter is on another service and has the same problem.

    I get the same problem too. I read somewhere closing the launcher while playing should help, but it doesn't for me.

    I have this problem as well, usually about once per hour. This is a very frustrating bug. I'm running Windows 7 64-bit home premium with a fairly fast ethernet cable connection from Charter.

    It's not very common but i've experienced this a few times total. The only difference is i click ignore once and it doesn't usually come back in that gaming session, it's not a reoccuring constant thing for me anyways.

    i have found, regardless of this issue (which i am having as well) that one should play with the launcher closed, its a feed that takes up bandwidth away from the game itself.

    i have noticed that i do not get this error at all if i am indoors, i got very nervous, but it has never hit me yet in either trials, or vet dungeons, anytime out in the world however....

    Thank you for this post. Since my main PC went defunct on Friday, I've been playing on the laptop and experiencing this error just as you describe. For the life of me I couldn't figure out whether it was an issue with the laptop or the game.

    For me, it's happening every 10-20 minutes as described. And if I choose any option past ignore it crashes the game. And when it does I get the " An Unknown Error has occurred." Something interesting is if I try to log back in using the same game window, it will 301 error on me. However if I close ESO and open a new launcher, it will allow me to log back in.

    Again, ty for sharing this. I thought it was something I'd done.

    Perhaps this is a Laptop related issue I am playing on an ASUS G72 laptop.....but it wasn't an issue until the Tuesday patch since BETA.....

    I do see the red boxes since BETA and I reported all instances but as of June I stopped because from Nov 2013 - June 2014 nothing was ever done and no responses back to me.

    It seems to happen about once an hour for me. Nothing to pinpoint exactly. Sometime Cyrodill, sometimes in while at the guild bank.....

    I experienced the error yesterday in the Riften bank.

    Odd thing is, I'd never had this error at all until maybe 3 or 4 days ago, and now I'm getting once or twice a day. I've reported it each time.

    The red box with the 'Missing' label is a curious, but accurate connection. I've noticed this as well when it happens. With something you can interact with. For me it's resource nodes. I should have SS'd it. But yes, I usually am seeing the red box first, then the error occurs.

    Strange thing is that I'd seen a rare red box with my pc before it died on me. But it never initiated a game crash.

    Theres me under the impression beta bugs (red boxes as assets) had been fixed and it was safe for me to buy the game now :( I do hope I am not in for more of the same !

    Missing boxes show up no matter the system. I play on a normal PC and ive seen them a few times. ZOS said to chuckle at them and move on the last time they were mentioned... Even tho they are an outcome of the data load error.

    still not having any issues with it indoors at all, but always outdoors, many times a day, many many many times - but i am also logged in most of the day

    Just asking.....what antivirus/firewall programs are y'all using? Try disabling it, restarting the comp, and then connecting to ESO with ALL port blocking/scanning features off.

    If you have already tried all that I apologize for wasting your time. I saw this a lot on EQ when I worked at Verant.

    I get this a lot. It doesn't cause me quite the level of grief it does the OP, but is annoying. Happened in a group dungeon while I was taking a boss last night. Under those cirtumstaces, I'm not going to take the time to send a report. I want to get back in and hope it doesn't cause a group wipe.

    It also happened to me yesterday running an alt through the Firsthold missions. Everytime I went through an Oblivion Gate to the Deadlands, I got this error right after the load screen.

    I had an issue with failure to load data into a crash. Ended up being my addons. Cant recall the name but it was one that marks spots on the map, like gathering nodes and the like. Your symptoms sound different so it probably is, but if you play with addons turn them off and play for a bit, see if they are the problem.

    Sucks not being able to play a game you would like to play. Good luck!

    Not just laptop i have a beast gaming machine and it does it with me since that patch it is 100% on there side its not a network problem.that answer means they have no clue. and it does it with or without addons again its on there side it is something they did

    As of today it's crashing due to that error less but now the inside of buildings doesn't fully load so there are invisible floors and walls.

    I'm sure these were Dark Age of Camelot issues. Interesting how they follow developers

    Don't laugh but I only use what came with win 8.1.
    The only software is games. Diablo 3, this and WoW

    It's not the ports as it wasn't an issue until after the patch. And this is an error that occurs outside the game.

    I can play and chat, etc. it's just that one error and the red boxes that read missing.

    I have put in several tickets regarding the "Data Load Failure" bug. Bottom line is that they have no current solution the bug, and may not have a solution until at least Update 3.

    I thought only active accounts could contribute to the forum, yet you say you have never even purchased the game?

    I was having the problem too, I have webroot security. Once I scanned my computer and then rebooted everything my game has been running fine.. try scanning and rebooting it may work for you .
