I'm actually hoping for it...and the addition of armor dyes to the cash shop as well. Screw having to PvP for a color I might want. Screw having to become a vampire/werewolf for a color I might want. I'd much rather just buy it and be on with playing the parts of the game I -will- participate in.

Honestly I think most of these pets will end up like the Dwarven Spider and be rewards for future quests. Especially the dog, it'll pop up in Whiterun Hold, or some other quest to do with Skyrim.
As for the pig? Well I'm not fussed I got my Scuttler.

In addition, European players are screwed here again. Plush costs us twice as much because of shipping, and 99% of us cannot possibly get to QuakeCon to get a pig.

I really wanted a piggy

It was one of the few pets I think I would have actually used. My plan is to one day be able to dress like a cook and wander the world selling my wares being followed by my mobile larder. Anyway as it is a quakecon freebie maybe the rest of us might get one for xmas or something - or give it away as a thankyou for people who have subscribed for 6 months without a break or something. Reward loyalty a wee bit as well as tempting in the new blood.

Hyperbole none. There's nothing remotely extreme, controversial, or exaggerated about saying that there is an actual difference between a special event reward and selling something wanted by your loyal customers only to your new customers.

I like the way Eve gives rewards personally. They have a community based thing where you have achievements/goalsfor the whole player base and once they reach them the whole player base gets a reward each.

Like mine 10000 asteroids get a drone, mine 20000 get another etc etcetera.

It works well IMO

Well it's just one more thing to add to the list of things I can't have with my current subscription. That list has grown exponentially in the past day.

Actually, I don't really care about this. I care about the Steam bonus, because they are rewarding new players with stuff for buying the game cheap just because they bought it from Steam.

It is completely different than this Quakecon bonus.

A lot of us have noticed this. We just don't want to have to wait for. Impatience is the issue. As long as it's all vanities and a crappy horse, it's all good.

I am weak, I know that.
I know that at some point I'll be playing and I'll have had 2-3 beers and I'll see the little baby goat pet in the Zenimax shop and i'll spend the $5 for him. And I'll trot him out like 2-3 times and that will be the end of it.
Then I'll just curse the fact that him, the crab and the ugly little scuttlebutt thingy are taking up space in my inventory that could be used for piles of Meal or Thin Broth.
