I don't mind you selling frilly stuff and pets in the game store. Really, it does not break the game or cause any imbalance.

However, I do ask that you do not make a paywall from your paying customers.

Please have a way for us to earn these items in the actual game as well. I don't think that is asking too much and it will keep everyone happy.

Thank you.

Great point, not sure if this was even mentioned publicly but you're correct the Imperial edition would make sense if unlocked after completing all Gold quests of VR12 content.

The horses maybe could unlock after you purchase a regular horse and upgrade it to the max level (any combinations) and then its unlocked to buy with in game gold.

Even the Chestnut horse would or could follow some procedure to be unlocked.

    Nice post!

It will be interesting to see how things unfold. I personally think that a cash shop is inevitable and it will contain unique items unavailable anywhere else. This will be the best way for them to maximize that revenue stream without going the f2p model.

Micro transaction stores are part of the business, no way around it.

I buy drum heads from Evans and on each package there are "Player Points" that can be a accumulated and used at their online store for things like mugs, key chains, shirts, etc.

It would be cool if each monthly renewal provided "Tamriel Points" that could be used for purchasing in game pixel items: pets, disguises, trophies, etc.

Not only is it a nice little "thank you" for supporting the company, but an added incentive for continuing a sub. Especially when pixel items have little to no material overhead like physical ones. It's created once and the file is downloaded repeatedly.

As I finish this it came to mind: DDO gave VIP subscribers Turbine points each month to use in the store. So it's not an unheard of practice in the MMO realm.

They played all their cards right though. With that 100% content quote. You can still buy a horse, buy the imperial motif in game, get a vanity pet in game from a quest, etc. It is like they know they are getting your money, but they didn't lie now did they c; Gotta love S T R E T C H I N G the truth.
Hi there! My name is Vaht or as most people call me, pupsy. I am a somewhat casual PvE and casual small group pvp player. Dude, this game is totes fun and I love playing with friends while in a discord call.

I only have a dragon knight left to level and then i'll have one of each class at CP rank.

    It is still a lie.

To follow your logic, we can get into all the dungeons so far, so if they offered an exclusive dungeon only new players can get into, it would not be a lie?

    Sorry. It's a lie.

When you offer to sell anything in your game store that players can have in the game, that you can not earn in that game, that is a paywall.

You have to pay to get a feature (items, locations, classes, skills) in game that you can not get otherwise.

No there isn't. So you can buy a horse using real money. You can still buy a horse in game with gold. No paywall there.

That is an offer for people to buy the game thru steam. Just like those of us who pre-ordered the game. We got something extra for that compared to those who bought the game after release. It is not a paywall.

Just like those of us who were beta testers got something extra compared to those who didn't

This is not a complicated issue.

If something is being offered in game for money, all I am asking is to be able to earn those same items in game.

If you disagree with this concept, then we can talk about why you disagree.

That is an imperial edition feature. there are other games that have different style of games available. Which is nothing new so is still not a paywall.

The other threads are complaining about the dog being offered in the first place or asking why they can not also buy it the store or they want to be able to switch to steam, etc.

I'm just asking to be able to earn items in the game store, in game.

    It's a simple request. :)

Nothing is being offered for money. It's a perk for people who buy it through Steam. You cannot buy the pet for money. It's just a perk.
