I can't understand one thing. They announced that is coming for PC, XBOX One and PS4. Why they didn't mention about steam? It all about money and how they behaving with customers. It's very rude. I wouldn't pre-order if I know what it comes for steam. I don't mind to pre-order steam version. I have at home steam console :D. I don't know what to say.

Also they can transfer Bethsedia account to XBOX and PS4, what I can't transfer to steam?

Game for XBOX and PS4 is delayed, but about steam they didn't mention at all.

In conclusion I cancelled subscription. This was first and last time they I buying from Bethsedia and Zenimax. I can't tolerate this anymore. I am still human.

I am glad they went on steam, if they got in to your local store would you cancel your sub?

You didn't mention ever asking if it was going to be in the steam store. Which, most pc games wind up on anyways... so you are really just mad at your own ignorance and ineptitude. If eso being put on steam makes you quit, you dont belong in this community anyways. ESO going onto steam now is great for the game in general. So uh good bye

Lolwut. It's the same software, on the same platform. Steam, Amazon, ZOS store, any other digital distributor, it's all the same. There's no transferring your account to steam because the account is handled rough ZOS either way. There's no need. This seems like a knee jerk reaction based on an erroneous understanding.

Is not about local store what ever example, it about cheating. They planned it that they will realize game for steam. That they done is not acceptable. I believe that steam takes some profit from sale. So first they wanted to make some clean profit and now they put on steam. I have plenty Bethsedia games on steam, all Elder Scroll games, all Fallout games and others. And we are talking about big market. Steam is most profitable market for PC games in the world, is not Ubisoft or orange.

you can add, but is not a same performance that steam provide. Also you don't get some benefits from steam.

Not sure why you're quitting but I do understand the appearance of "left out" information. I continue to ask about the console transfer specifics....the Steam news is good for some and to no effect for others.

Its not like the Steam version is free to play or something.
I do wonder IF I buy this on the Xbox One, how the transfers work because it seems like they are creating more of an issue rather than an opportunity.

Transfers one character and then the customer wants to come back...Character stuck on console.
Or a customer transfers to one console and then their friends transfer to another...the customer cant transfer again.

Just copy the entire account, all characters and inventories to each console whenever. Link the two and IF I want to copy at launch fine...If I decide to finish my sub time on PC let me copy again to overwrite the characters.

My concern is that the economy and gold, loot will get dupped and such.
People will be buying PC stuff from PC xfer accounts to their console account as it seems the two are not the same.

Another thing. Steam and Non-steam games are running on PC architecture. is not a console. if you moved to steam so you don't need anymore move from steam.

I do not understand why people are upset they cant move there came to steam. what is the big deal? Manually add it to the game menu and you can still use your steam chat options. Devs even said the game still uses ZOS launcher and billing so there is really no big difference to transfer it.

Releasing the game late on Steam ensures that only newer players that started the game 4 months into release can write Steam reviews. Brilliant!

Valaren Arobone - Dunmer Flamewalker - Master Woodworker, Provisioner, Assassin
Kazahad - Khajiiti Arcane Archer - Master Thief

This game will not be played through Steam, all you will do is use Steam to launch the ZOS Launcher/Patcher. I can't imagine the Achievements will even be tracked through Steam, but maybe they will be.

In any event, as others have said, the game can be currently added to Steam as a Non Steam game if you want to use Steam to Launch the ZOS Launcher.

Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

Don't understand OP at all :/ I have games on Origin, games on Steam, digital downloads and DVDs, the game is the same, what difference can it possibly make?

    Seriously, what's the problem?
How is this cheating? Steam would make the same profit as any store selling a retail copy. The billing is the same. What's the downside?

Hmmmm, something tells this one the OP thinks that Steam is a console or platform.
    This one is amused.

I've added ESO to my Steam library from day one of the early access. It lets me share screenshots and everything else. The "official" Steam version has no achievements or cards, I don't see much of a difference, not sure why everyone is complaining about not getting steam keys...

I mean, EVE Online plays like this, LOTRO plays like this, pretty much every MMO that was released before heading into Steam act like this... It's better this way, folks, Steam isn't exactly the holy ground most people think.

    EDIT:
Actually, it HAS cards. My mistake... but... meh?

Why are people so eager to be on steam?

I totally dislike that spy software, it was bad enough that some older games required it and we had no choice but feed that company with our money.

I play ESO as a "non steam game" on steam, so I can keep the overlay and chat w/ friends with text and VOIP (and they can see i'm playing ESO on their steam window).

I went back to EQ1 last year and did it through steam. the only difference was my install folder was in the steam tree and not by itself (oh and it auto-added to my steam game library... takes 3 clicks to add outside games).

A lot of people seem mad about the dog though lol.

I see that many players still think that steam is just app for Windows. Came on guys please wake up. Steam also have Steam OS (Based on Linux system) which build for Steam Console, don't forget that Steam OS is not a Windows which just is app. Most of you really don't know that is steam. Please read more about steam and futures and then post comments.
