So you want to remove incentives for people to do anything other than grind levels?

Aren't games dumbed down enough as it is? Do we really want to encourage developers to just remove everything but hacking and slashing to gain levels and abilities?

No thanks. If anything they should develop ways of making classes even MORE specialized. Adding additional ways to evolve skills or adding yet another level to morph skills once the level 2 abilities have reached rank 5.

Would love to see skills that cost multiple skill points added. Maybe something that costs 20 skill points that would allow a 6th button on your skillbar.

I think the Champion System is supposed to take care of that

Yup they directly compared it to alternate advancement. Looks very promising

There are many skill points true, but since I am leveling everything I am lacking points:-(. I would love to see respec to be less expencive. It is huge pain to pay that ammount for respec. I know there are people rich as hell, but thats nit my case. I am not hunting money as it is useless except for horse and bank, bags...

    And respec:-(

It introduces a risk/reward and an element of choice on where you place your points. There have been times where I've had to weigh the pros and cons of placing a point between two abilities.
Trouble is those choices are temporary and you can change your mind with a small amount of gold, so there's no real consequence.

It is just a redundancy. That risk-reward is already in place when you slot your bars. Why do you have to make the same choice twice? The risk is losing gold in a forced respec, the reward is being "Par."

This doesn't sound like a very fair risk-reward system.

risk /reward is making the wrong or right decision when using a skill point to morph an ability. if you had to spend a point to just lvl the ability then I could see the problem. With the system you have you have to make a choice on which new morph you want and you also have to decide what ability to morph with your points.

    Agreed.

I would go about it a completely different way though.

Instead of having to pay 20k gold in order to change one morph (I have had to do this so many times... ) the player should be able to reset points every so often (24 hours to 3 days or so)

OP; disagree. More choice is always better.

And Brizz --Lowering the cost or opportunity for respecs makes sense but if your suggestion were in place, (" the player should be able to reset points every so often (24 hours to 3 days or so)" - then we really would be part of an official continuing Beta. :|

You have more choice when you aren't restricted to what you can put on your 1-5 bar based on a limited resource pool.
