Do you realise how long it takes to acquire legendary mats? You want to delete my current stock after 30 days ? yeah, a great way to discourage me from ever crafting again if that were the case.

It's bad even for regular mats. No reason for it, other than to irk people.

I'm guessing the op's RL social life must have expired. This idea sucks of someone with nothing to do but play games. Funny how it would make players like that vastly rich. Some of us have real lives, we dont want to come to the game after a short break and find our stuff gone!
Besides the obvious fact that this is a terrible idea, how would one expect to implement this.
Say Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday I farm say 20 raw jute each days for 1 stack by the end. Each day would have a separate timer because it's one day apart. Do you get forced to have 5 stacks of 20 with different counters. Is it all shoved into one pile with some arbitrary counter you can't see to know when part of the stack will expire? What if we do this across a 30 day period, 30 different stacks?
This idea was not thought out in the slightest. Just a person randomly QQing because they needed mats and no one would sell them for undervalue.
And so did many brave men, women, and beast fall to the end of Beta, never to be heard from again. All that is left, is whispers of the adventures they had.
I went on the thread to see what it was about. Mate you just made me laugh so hard. Great thread for comic relief.
On a more serious idea: this is stupid... You are telling me that my legendary crafting mats I am stockpiling should be destroyed after a month because I haven't had the luck to get enough for a set? No thanks.
Until they add a SEVER WIDE AH im 100% AGAINST this.
I dont want to trade with other players , having to actually deal with them is beyond annoying , i completely refuse to make trades in chat or any other crap like that.
Therefore , i gather my own mats most of the time and them store them up for future use.
This would force me to buy/sell more , which would only be acceptable if i had something massive like a server wide AH , not some pathetic guild stuff , even with their new improvements.
So keep this out of this game till they also add a way for quick buy/sell of mats with 0 player interaction.
"Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity."

I can barely even consider this idea to have any real lasting benefits. I mean, any time limit will irk people. The one you suggest can be more than tedious for certain players. For instance, people trying to collect legendary tempers.
No point slamming the OP or his thoughts. It's better to point out why this isn't a good idea though. By the sounds of it, the OP wants crafters to have the tools to, well, craft. And it doesn't help when everyone can stockpile their own things.
If ZOS wants to spruce up the economy to let crafters connect with their audience better, we'll need more than the Gold Coast Trading. It's an out of the box approach to a "no auction house" MMO, but that alone won't do it.
As others have so eloquently put, this idea is terrible.
Using runes as a simple example...
So, what if I find a yellow rune today... then tomorrow... then the next day? How will the game differentiate between the runes I found a week ago, vs. the ones I found five minutes ago? Let's say I panic and want to 'use' a rune I found 29 days ago... how will I be able to use that one vs. a rune I found yesterday? Will each rune have it's own stack based on its 'expiration date'?
Hopefully the OP posted this idea after being under the effects of alcohol or something, and hopefully will see how terrible this idea is. I found yellows that I am saving until I am high enough level to use them - which will take more than 30 days. Why should I be punished for not playing 6 hours a day in order to reach a level at which I can use that rune, instead of having it simply vanish?
Cant even try to put it nicely so...Most idiotic idea I have ever seen, in all years of MMO gaming...Seriously, beats all flying mounts, alliance change, class change, class QQ, literally all silly ideas I have ever seen.
Well deserved 31 LOLs, OP you will be ''Most LOLed on forums'' for sure if you continue to post things like that.
PS. Idea is idiotic, it was not personal insult, just to make it clear.
Hell no. Im stock piling my legendary mats so i can use them when i get to max level, opposed to wasting them on a current level set that will be obsolete before its been broken in
Oh and in addition to my previous lol'ing, have you considered:
1. How would you work stacks when each piece has an individual timer?
2. Have you considered the performance cost of a server trying to keep tabs on millions of individual timers on millions of individual pieces of materials?
It's is just practically such a terrible idea from every angle.
Remember that this is the same person who wanted all of our hirelings to be nerfed into oblivion last week, because they are somehow unfair, and felt that it was perfectly ok to dictate to us how we should play our 'alts'. With this "idea" he's simply trying to push the same agenda from a different angle.
For some reason he doesn't seem to want anyone else to have.... anything... I think.
I really don't get it. To play any Elder Scrolls game is to "hoard" stuff, valuable or otherwise. It's part of the fun.
