This is how ESO should have looked from the beginning!

So I've been playing since beta, and I run everything maxed out at 2560x1440 res. I'll admit, ESO looks pretty good for an MMO. But I recently came across a mod that lets you fully tweak the graphics in the game. More so than the in-game settings. The mod has been out for a while, but I've just been under a rock. I installed it and tweaked everything I wanted to, and MAN was I blown away! The fps drop is very slight on my machine too. Even during spell intense battles. I decided to run around and take a few screenshots.

I really hope ZoS upgrades the graphics to look a bit more like this in the future. Anyways, here are the screenshots. These are completely unaltered in any way. Straight from the game

Assuming you are talking about the post processing tool, that injects more gamma on the game, I do not see any difference between your screenshots and mine.

If you want to have better graphics, you need to turn off the AA & Bloom from the settings. Go to the settings files. Set AF 16, MIP_LOAD_SKIP_LEVELS = -3,
and make your graphic card settings to override AA & AF. Screenshots might look poor then, but the image quality on the screen will be epic. But you need 2 GTX780s.

FYI my screenshots are at 1080p, with MIP_LOAD_SKIP_LEVELS = 0, ingame AA and set the AF 16 on the settings. (make sure you have the settings file read only).

I tried this a few days ago. Turned AA and tried to override with my Nvidia. It didn't work. There is a noticeable difference with edges if you turn the AA off in the game.

After doing a lot of research, I found out that this game uses more of my processor than my GPU, which I hate. One option was to use an external software to run the game in a higher resolution to take advantage of the extra Vram. I hate this option.

As of right now, this game is not optimized to take advantage of Vram and it really should be. I want my game to store more in my video memory, and even in my RAM to use less processing.

It looks way too happy. Sorry but one of the reasons I prefer this game over other mmos is that this game has that dark dingy feel that Wrath of the Lich King had back in the day.

I prefer Tsak's graphics. The OP's are too crisp and the greenery is just horrible. I am also not impressed by the sky, but man those shrubs and trees.

Water does look good in this game though.

I just wish they would remove the fog in the background... or give the option for that, as I had assumed the bar in our settings would, but it didn't... so that confirms it for me that those who get the really nice screenshots without the fog are indeed using an add-on.
Far too many characters to list any more.

The fog is made to blur low resolution textures which are not loaded yet. You can cut the fog a little by switching off distortion and depth of field. This will also give a small fps boost.

Sorry OP each to their own, to me your screenshots look awful to me, like someone has played with their monitor settings and think brighter is better etc.

I agree with others, over saturated, greenery awful, screenshots look far more unreal to me.

But as long as your happy with it, that's all that matters.

Here's the link to the mod. Keep in mind, you can always tweak the settings to your liking. You can even JUST get rid of the fog if you'd like.

Agree, the moody aesthetic feel that ESO currently has is great. In fact the only problem I currently have with any ESO environment is that I wish the bad weather conditions were a little more intense !

I'm glad someone sees my way lol. It's what separates it from the classic happy feel of most other mmos ( I hate that ). Heavy rain and snow would be awesome though...

Going to try it in the morning to get rid of the fog. Are there saturation settings or something? Those screenshots look great. I would love to get rid of some of the depressing brown-green and make the game a little more happy.

Edit: I went ahead and gave it a try tonight. Removing the fog is the best thing ever. Waiting for daylight now to see what kind of changes I want to make to the ini.

Glad you found use out of it. I guess i should have mentioned on the OP, you can adjust pretty much everything as you like. So if you want it to retain that dark, depressing look... You can. I like how ESO looks with the normal settings. But after playing for so long, I felt it was time for a change of scenery. Literally.

I just put everything on optimal except the character details and it looks like the screenshots. Thanks for bringing this to my attention. It sort of looks like what I imagine a good Gothic game would look like now if one were ever to made again.

fog is part of reality, i dont see how removing fog is more realistic.

btw, it maybe a tiny fps drop on your machine, it could be huge on others, im tired of then making cosmetic changes at the expense of the performance.
