I have made 2,329 posts on these forums. (I know, sad) In all of those posts, not once did I ever ask for a nerf. I have never asked for the combat in ESO to be easier.

I like a challenging game.

That said, playing my Vet 8 Templar today, I felt like a hero again.

I felt powerful. I got to treat minions as the garbage that they are.

No longer do I need to beg a pack of mubcrabs for mercy! :D

I have to say I love the change. I didn't ask for it, but I do love it.

Thank you, ZOS. :)

So they brought the mountain to Mohamed then flattened it a bit for you. I fought my way there and climbed it. You will never know how satisfying that was. Neither will any other potential customers. They just nerfed the only thing the game had going for it.

I have a vet 12 so I do know. I'm still enjoying my vet 8, even with the new patch.

Okay, sell it somewhere else. :)

I hate the term 'trash' mobs? Who's to say those NPCs aren't the AI equivalent of you or I?

The only thing going for it? Yea, that is why the vet areas were so full of people all the time. Gosh, it was so full of people you couldn't find a group with room... or maybe was it that the vet areas had major issues that kept us casuals out and the vet areas were actually empty? Now that we can play the character we earned- a god stomping hero that can bat trash mobs to the side. I think it will be a lot of fun. I also expect we will see a lot more people in the vet zones.

There are plenty of options for folks that want things much more challenging- Craglorn, vet dungeons, and PvP as well as newly released content as it comes up.

I am looking forward to checking out he changes when I get off work today.

Yeah, you're going to have take 'Elder Scrolls Online VR12' off your CV now it's been so devalued.

But Hilgara, now its allllll fair. Vet+1 - 10, viably solo-able.
I just tacked up a message notifying strong-shouldered instructors - many will be needed as the primarily solo players successfully zoom up and knock on the doors of V+ 11-12 content.

Oh well, ZOS might include changes for those two levels in Phase II of the 'changes being made for those who want to solo all content in all levels.
The devs are working on it you know...

You did get the whole hero thing, right?

Trash mobs is a term because most of the common thugs working for a boss will not be as skilled as the hero of the story.

Ever see a movie, read a book, play a game?

Should every orc in LotR be as powerful as Legolas?

when I first climbed one, I did feel satisfied, when I climbed the 10000th times the same mountain, I have zero satisfaction left.

Yep. So adding a different mountain would have been a better solution than flattening the'kin thing

Uhm, you mean the sound and aesthetics I have to turn off despite having a good computer to not suffer a 5 fps slideshow? Or do you mean the pvp I have to restart every 5 minutes to avoid the same or various other issues since release? Has there ever been a time when pvpers didn`t have to restart multiple times an hour in eso?

Modern video games are designed to make you a hero. One of the reasons I love the Stalker series is because it's designed to humiliate you.

I'm sad to see ESO being nerfed for the hero crowd. Got my lead through to the Fighter's Guild end at level 36. I'll run my level 34 vampire witch through the end later today, she hits harder than my lead, although she is much more fragile.

My army is still leveling nicely and my level 20 vampire DK just cruised the Retrieve Abner quest. My first to not die at all there. It seemed pretty good but I know they already nerfed that.

People can stand in fire, ignore long windup abilities and game mechanics, and do everything with the same 5 abilities without thinking now.

    I hope you are happy.

But running to home plate without being expected to hit the ball does not make ME feel particularly "heroic."

I too feel like a hero again. I used to have to actually learn how to dodge and block, I also used to take damage in vet zones. Thank god that craps over. I rather enjoy spamming 1-2 attacks and facerolling over everything like the super awesome god slayer I am.

Thing is all these RP'res talk about immersion. What is more immersive than knowing you are in danger when you leave a town. When you have to think about every encounter. When there is a reasonable chance you will die if you get things wrong. That's immersive. Thats closer to how things would really be in Tamriel

    I do suck Blackwidow.

But hey, at least I didn't find VR too difficult that I had to have the NPC enemy castrated before my character could feel like a hero. Nor do I share your ethos that killing 'trash' is heroic.

Maybe that's the difference between gamers like you and me. One needs it to be easy in order to feel powerful, while the other needs it to be challenging to be deemed heroic.

IMO the voice acting is terrible, i can literally imagine some of the actors just saying words out loud trying to cash in, or others overacting their lines.

The storyline is bland, just "Generic bad guy under an evil daedra has a plot to do evil things on random zone", or "Faction X attacks Y zone", the only good parts of it IMO were the Main Story line and Coldharbour, then it's just pointless grinding.

    PvP is unplayable.

The aesthetics are good, but TEH DARN FOG DOESN'T LET US SEE ANYTHING.

Being under TES lore is cool, to some extent, but as i mentioned, the bland storyline just screwed it up.

Do you mind? I'm busy doing the fishstick, it's a very delicate state of mind.
