No Sound?

Hello, I played this game in the beta and just subbed and downloaded the game today. The cinematic intro movies had sound, but once the actual game began, everything was completely silent. I messed around with the audio settings and am convinced nothing there is an issue. Another thing I noticed is when talking to NPCs, they don't have any lip syncing, making me feel as though it's a beneath the surface sort of issue.

Is this simply a problem with my download that I can simply repair, or is this a problem that has been affecting other people? How would I go about repairing this?

Seems like the game client read the threads about turning off sound fixing fps issues, and it's just trying to spare you the trouble by disabling itself.

Srs answer: did you check your audio device settings (not the in game ones), ect?

Yes, those are definitely working properly.
