200 million dollars

And all I get is bugged quests.

Support says, /reloadui, hit escape, log out, log in, do a soft reset (log out for 20 minutes), wait until the next day, uninstall, reinstall, do some voodoo, quit game, come back to game, make a pizza, and quests are still broken.

200 million dollars does that for you.

(Edit) Because of broken quests, its faster to level up killing mudcrabs on the beach.

I have said it before and I'm saying it again, I have four characters in all three factions from lvl20 - VR8, I have yet to hit a bugged quest out there! I had some problems after 1.2.3 but not with quests, but deleting or renaming the UserSettings.txt fixed all my problems. Some quests seams to be bugged, but are not, only thing I had to do was to use my head, which I most of the time don't have to while questing.

@lpool96, it's great you haven't had any problems.

If you look at these forums, you will see some people have had problems.

Here's a screenshot of Crossing The Chasm to point out that, yes, some peeps run into issues.

PS: According to Zenimax Online's own website, it was a $300m investment.

If making pizza doesn't work, try a soufflé.

And as usual when someone posts this, what's your point in doing so?

Either it's to try to antagonise those who DO HAVE big problems by trying to suggest they're lying .. and suggesting deleting UserSettings will fix broken quests like Eye of the Ancients which a GM failed to get working in 45 mins is fatuous .. or else you're suggesting that these players are too stupid to fix it and it's not ZOS' fault that there are so many people unable to progress.

    Which is it?

I am still having very few problems and the ones I have had were fixed by very friendly customer service reps. Why is my experience so different from what some of you report?

What a stupid thing to say. Why are you posting this nonsense? "Some quests seem to be bugged, but are not", are you kidding me? Tell me again how can I "use my head" to make an npc appear out of thin air? This "solutions" are just ***, soon people will be erasing UseSettings.txt, playing with no sound while holding a cat upside down and eating a banana with no hands.

My theory; It's because they are not only a player of this game, but they also are paid by someone. I bet it's to antagonize though.

My wife and I have been playing daily since launch and we've only encountered 2-3 quests that had issues. Logging out and back in fixed all but one of those issues (the vampire hunter quest in Grahtwood that Zeni eventually fixed).

It's strange that quests would bug-out for only a certain number of players, since I didn't think quests were tied to machine specs.

Have you tried logging-out and back in to see if that clears the issue?
Just out of curiosity, you haven't deleted (intentionally or accidentally) quest items required for the quest, right?
Have you tried dropping the quest, then going back to pick up the last step of the quest to pick it up again?

Hi, folks. We know that quest bugs are frustrating, and we're hard at work fixing them. You can see some of the issues we're currently investigating in this thread.

When you encounter a bug in-game, please be sure to use /bug to report it. The information gathered in bug reports help our Dev Team work on fixes and push them live.

While we know that the standard recommended workarounds for bugged quests don't always help, we do recommend that players try them (things like relogging, abandoning and reacquiring the quest, grouping, etc.). If the recommendations from the Support Team do not help, you are welcome to email them back or post the specific issue here.
