To tell the truth, I'm not positive about how the game is loading areas such as when you use a Waystation to travel to another " continent ? ".
But I < DO > know that it is ungodly slow.
How about if they write a routine to check the players computer when he logs in and see how much memory their machine has, and if they have enough ... say 64 GB ... load areas into a memory area and KEEP it there. Most of us only go to two or three areas in a session so it probably wouldn't require that much memory space to keep the areas loaded so you can switch between them much quicker than downloading the area every time you go to it.
It often takes a minute or more to load an area and that adds up to a lot of time and aggravation ... which could < possibly > be avoided.
I'm running on a SSD drive so it is really irritating to take so long to change areas ... especially when I know I have enough RAM that it could all be loaded up and kept there while playing instead of downloading the darn thing every time.
If I wanted a Signature I would have a Signature --- but i don't want one so I don't have one.
