Anyone else notice that exploding pets are hitting twice?

ZOS said they would buff the pet skill line, we just did not think it would be because of an exploit

ZOS will probably say it's not an exploit to use this as with the silver bolt Can't wait for the time when every sorc gonna run with volatile familiar Let's hope they fix the fps and this volatile pet bug so I can go back to cyrodiil to kill some people with my suicidal pets

10 times at 400+ damage each non-crit. Sounds about right. If it were a double proc, he would only have to do it 2-3 unsummons to kill you.

You should realize the pet itself does around 40 ish damage on normal hits, this is the damage listed from the pet in the death recap most likely (it adds it together as it does with other abilities, for example a dot, or how you can get hit for 1400 from a fire balista) the explosion part should be listed as from the sorcerer.

Domander You should realise from the screenshot that there were no "40 damage hits from pet " go add all the damage and see that it wasn't even 3 k damage before I got killed. Really people come to forums and spread wrong informations without even testing / checking everything it's just sad.

So far I have not see the double hit against any npcs I have come across.

However , I stand corrected in that it can sometimes double hit enemy players:

It does not show on combat text or dps meters, but does show on the enemy's hp bar. Look closely at their hp drop.

edit. ok bigger screen helped, was watching on my phone on break before, there were no critical hits showing on your scrolling text, which I think is odd also. (unless you have like no crit)

As for using a death recap as proof of anything, I could show you a death recap of a dk hitting me with crystal shards. (obviously a reflect) It's hard to trust death recaps.

If it's double hitting players it should be fixed, however, I'm not going to stop using it because it sometimes might hit players twice. It's one of like 2 abilities I can use against reflect spamming dragon Knights.

In addition, I haven't seen it do that, the damage it does seems to match what my combat log says. Maybe there is some game mechanic that we're not aware of playing a role (especially since it's only been talked about happening in pvp), or it's how crits show up for the receiving player, or it's only happening for some players, or who knows.

It pisses me off that people even think that using a class ability could be an exploit of some kind. I guess I should just not care and have fun.

I didn't see the screen shot, but I have now and it does clearly say explosion.

Two wrongs don't make a right. They need to fix the pet and nerf scales.

Thanks for posting that Gris. That is exactly what I was talking about. 2 hits, 2 difft sources and 2 difft dmg amts all off one explosion per set. Glad to see the pic proof come after some tried suggesting I was wrong when i knew in fact I was right. ZOS should not delete this though. Hiding bugs is just as much bs as exploiting them is.

That is a loser attitude. But your entire generation thinks that way. A known exploit is something you should stay away from not flock to for an unfair advantage.....unless of course you know you have no skill and need it.

This is an MMO. MMOs are all about being better than others: having better gear, better stats, better skill, better group of friends, etc.

Now if the game presents us with something that will make us better (whether it be a bug or intentional), it is in the spirit of MMOs to take advantage of it.

If you wanted this bug to be fixed without anyone knowing, you should have used bug report. It was your own ignorance for posting this here so that everyone will know. Now I'm forced to utilize this skill or I won't be on a level playing field with others who utilize it.

It's war, sometimes you have to get your hands dirty, war isn't fair, sorry. Sucks for those guys that refuse to take advantage of this and willingly choose to play with a crutch.
