Access Code Required Every Single Login

As the title states. Every time I login to the game, no matter how little time has passed, I am required to get a new access code via email. I could just be re-logging to refresh my client, just exit the game and re-enter and it asks for an access code.

My laptop is connected to a wireless home network via router, the IP address does not change and I am no aware of any other setting that could cause this issue. This issue has only started since the latest patch. In the past I would seldom (apparetly seldomly is not a word) be asked for a new access code, a few times a month at most.

You might try deleting addons and go to documents/elderscrollsonline/live and delete the usersettings file.

    This /might/ work. I dunno.

I have the same issue. I have no addons, and this has only occurred since the last patch. VERY annoying...

Make sure that on the login screen you have highlighted the "house" icon, showing you are playing on a trusted computer.

I didn't pay attention to it till now but house has always been highlighted by default.

Yeah, same. Started a thread on it recently myself, my post got this "we have contacted customer support to help you resolve the issue" thingie but that was it. No mail from CS, code still required.

I've found out that if I don't fully quit the game but instead go "log out->back", logging back in from there won't require the code. But that doesn't exactly solve the problem since I have to actually quit the game and shut down computer sometimes.

I have had the same issue since the patch, but only on my computer (not my wife's computer).

I was contacted by customer support, but they kept telling me it was my network causing the issue. Since I played for 2 months with no problems, I refuse to believe that.

I have the same issue. There are four systems in my household (two laptops and two desktops) where the ESO client is installed (note: each system has it's own account). My desktops do not get an access code request unless it is patch day, but my laptop gets the access request at EVERY login. I know my IP doesn't change so it's something else.

Rather than gaining excitement and interest to join the game, it increasingly becomes aggravating with each access request. To the point of where I'm seriously considering non-renewing. Couple this with class issues and I've stopped really playing and currently only login to advance my craft research and horse leveling only. There are too many games on the market that I can choose to spend my free time with than dealing with this.

My wife's laptop doesn't get it, but my laptop does.

It started happening after the 1.2 patch, so I know it wasn't a network setting.

It happens every time, despite my IP address remaining the same.

Honestly, I would much prefer to just have the option to remove the access code "security" than to worry about anyone else accessing my account.

It randomly stopped asking me for an access code last week around the same time as the fps hotfix.

try checking if the Zenimax Online Folder and the Elder Scrolls folder in Documents are write protected / read only (right click on the folder > Properties and see the check mark)
if they are, remove that attribute, see if that helps.

This also started happening to me after that patch. I contacted support multiple times, they say it's on my end. But I've verified that my IP address isn't changing, so Zeni, when can we expect a fix on this issue?
