Chat still buggy

Since early launch I have had periods where my chat just doesn't work. Nothing I type appears and no slash commands work. I'm not a heavy user of the chat window but I do find myself having to reset UI often. Previously there was a reset UI button in the addons window but this has now disappeared so I am only left with the slash command, which doesn't work due you the chat function bugging out.
Whats the score with chat. Is someone trying to fix this?
Can we please have the rest UI button back in the addons window for when chat bugs out.
