DC PvP Exploit

DC has found a way into the Northern Morrowind Gate without taking keeps and has been taking our scrolls while we are occupied somewhere else. They just come to wabba use the wayshrine then port to our wayshrine.

I have a video clip, of 2 players I caught inside this zone that I will be posting on here later on. Hopefully they get reported (I already have) and rightfully banned.

I do not feel that everyone should pay for this.. Frustrating yes, but not worth the actions that you suggest.

I meant that towards the people in the video that I will be posting when I get the chance. If they are porting there they are cheating, and should be rightfully reported/punished.

You do realize if you post a video showing player names it will be removed right? Also devs have already responded in the multitude of other threads regarding this topic maybe you should have a read of them.

I like sneaking into places, and tried to get into the AD starter zone. It never occurred to me this may be an exploit as I expected to be slaughtered, but I just wanted to see it. I did jumping jacks and shot a ballista at the walls (which as I suspected I couldn't harm) until some poor newbie came out with a bow and I figured after I killed him he'd come back and snipe at me from the walls and I could use him to teleport up there... and then get killed by the guards.

As it turns out, I just got teleported back to my own starter area (I, too, am DC).

Notably, I aside from the fact that I think people shouldn't be doing this (and I don't know how they're doing this) it strikes me as counterintuitive that people can get wayshrine ties to ones used only by enemies (couldn't the programmers have simply flagged it with an Alliance tag function) and I'm really, really stunned that all those enemy NPCs in there are apparently non-aggressive (even stablemasters are terrifyingly savage in enemy areas!).

Yet, despite the fact that it should obviously be fixed ASAP the same thing happened to DC tonight - EP players set up a forward camp and got Wayshrine ties and came over to play. It was really, really fun and it saved us all a whole lot of time running around looking for each other or provoking reinforcements to show up to some Lumberyard. My group tossed runes, caltrops and even (hilariously) the dungeon trophy "bear trap" in front of the Wayshrine and the odd thing is the other DC people coming and going for the most part paid no attention whatsoever to the 7 or so people with traps everywhere, crouched in stealth, all facing the Wayshrine like Molag Bal himself was about to come out of it.

In a way, players managed to make their own arena/small group duel content that they (not I) have been up in arms about.

I, myself, just want want to get into Bravil like the guy who posted on the forums about logging in and mysteriously was in that otherwise-inaccessible town, and would definitely pull whatever trick the exploiters are using to get in there if I knew how. I've gotten "off the map" but always simply through endlessly trying to climb or swim where someone forgot to put a barrier.

Yup. Cyrodiil hasn't been this fun and exciting in a while. Enemies tunneling through the walls? Vampires dropping like flies? Sign me up for more of that!

This is why we need arena PvP. We just want to fight eachother and don't want to ride across half of cyrodiil to do so.

Taking a wayshine to a quick fight really does seem better.

We just need a guild hall with instanced PvP so we can fight eachother.

i like the idea of ridding across cyrodil to fight someone, not in a 2 by 4 box

I like both ideas. I think that we should be able to fight in an arena, but also have the option of fighting in Cyrodiil. Though to be fair the dev's would almost definitely have to put a limit to the amount of times you are able to duel per week to keep up numbers in the Alliance War, otherwise that will die out.

I would like to see an option like labrinth in DAOC. Its a vast area maze, but near the end as well as along the middle of each hallway, there are shrines you can use to port around. Keeps the open world feel without resorting to running for 10 mins to find someone or something to fight.

Damn didn't know that, but at least my whole guild has bee reporting those cheating f*cks.

This news is so old, it's going grey.

Don't expect anything anytime soon in regards to this, don't expect any exploiters to be punished either.

The problem is all the way shrines in PVP once learnt, you can port to. They should be 'marked' as un-learn-able by the other team but they did not do that.

To learn it, you need a DK on the other side to pull you up the last part but it can be done easy.

PVP has lots of bugs at the moment (Lag, Silver Shards always proc, Client hacks to allow you to walk through walls (client does not load the walls and movement is client side not server side)

Lots of things to fix and I will stay out of PVP until those are fixed

I was in Black Boot (Bloodthorn campaign) when the servers cane down as a test and when I logged back in I was at Northern High Rock despite DC still owning it. I don't recall anything like that happening before.

It's not a DC exploit it's new cool feature that let's you use all waypoints in Cyrodill if you find them.
/facepalm And they didn't hot fix it today either,

Most lag is not actually the fault of either the server or Zenimax or whatever, it's ISP spikes usually or you running a crap PC at too high settings. That said exploits do exist are annoying and are probably ruining the PVP experience for a lot of people. I am sure they are aware of them, at least I hope so. The whole cheat to win thing leaves me cold.

I don't know if this is bug, but it should definitely be a feature!

PVP is so boring now that you can't get to the fight quickly.

banned for a exploit that they found, no they wont be banned ethier way and if that's the way you think of it than EP would have been banned along time ago.
