Screen notifications are off!!

After this latest patch all my in-game notifications have stopped. After killing a dungeon boss, or collecting a skyshard, no announcement. Even opening a locked chest, you used to get a short animation of your exp. bar gaining exp., now nothing. And the exp. bar is not moving but the numbers reflect gained exp. The bar updates after zoning or typing in /reloadui.

I submitted a bug report on it anyway and I looked in my configuration files and settings in-game to see if anything affected that. I could not find anything that seemed appropriate for that problem.

I got a notification on skyshard-pickup, but not at finishing a dungeon nor on discovery of a new area.


Edit: next Skyshard: no more notification.
Edit2: even notifications for achievements are gone

Notifications are not happening for me either.
Although I like some of the additions the latest patch has brought, I don't want any of them at the expense of fundamental parts of the game now being broken.

I saw a thread like this much earlier which I came to post in, but seems this is the most recent so I'll post here.

I'm getting all those announcements just fine. I've seen stolen Scrolls in Cyrodiil messages, I get "Lorebook Discovered" when I pick up a Lorebook, saw the exp bar when I opened up a treasure chest, and I have received new area discovered notifications.

I've been doing other stuff so haven't finished a quest or leveled up a Skill yet, but I have picked up a quest or two and got the notifications for the new quest having begun. I even noticed that now when you get a Lorebook a Mages Guild exp bar pops up. All these have happened on a pre-VR Ebonheart Pact character.

Perhaps it is an Add-On thing? Tried disabling them? I don't use any, myself.

I don't use add-ons and have been having the UI bug since the patch last night.

I am also having this problem.

After some testing, if I /reloadui it will work consistantly until I speak to someone (enter into a speech cutscene), then it will stop working again unless I /reloadui again.

Same issue here. No add-ons, and enough people have mentioned it in guild/zone chat and now on forums for it to be considered a fairly common issue, I'd think. I was very close to leveling and I was really missing watching the progress bar on turning in quests, heh. /reloadui only seems to fix it sometimes, and the issue returns pretty quickly anyhow.

I will have Notifications/Alerts for awhile upon logging in, but shortly after they stop appearing.

They have worked for me momentarily, but mostly not at all. Same problem here.

My notifications worked fine tonight, discoveries, level up, lore books etc

I was on eu lvl 35 if that helps.

+1 for me. No quest progression/completion notifications

Indications are hit and miss I logged out they came back but then broke again 30 mins later. No matter what you do they only work for a short time before it bugs out again.

Same. All my notification screen feedback...skyshards, mage books, discovering new areas, none of it works.

Relogged and they work again.

I've noticed this too. After 1.2.3 I don't get any notifications for Skyshards, Lorebooks or other achievements. I can hear the achievement sound, but don't get any notification. WTF? Were these getting in the way of your minimalist UI, ZOS?

This might have something to do with the stuttering some people experienced when these notices popped up...after the patch the notices are gone and so is the stuttering....

Takes away more of what satisfaction left there is in the game, exploring areas ...... nothing, finding books .... nothing, quest completion nothing, dungeons zero.

Makes it very hard to stay motivated to play anymore.

It seems re-logging is the best short fix, /reload ui sometimes works but only for a shorter time then it happens again.
