"Inviting other player characters into a large group who are in a different zone.."

In the 1.2.3 patch notes you indicate this issue has been fixed. Thanks for finally resolving this incredibly frustrating issue. Problem is, that wasn't the only problem (as we have indicated before).

Since about (at this stage) 3-5 patches ago large groups have been unstable (IIRC this was introduced by the Craglorn patch). These problems have nothing to do with the separate zone issues because they affect groups residing in the same zone (as the bug you fixed was in since launch, these issues are new).

In a nutshell, large groups cause the occasional member to disconnect and in addition large groups !!!!!****significantly****!!!! exaggerate lag.

To re-iterate:
  • It affects large groups no matter where they are (Trials, PvE or Cyrodiil).
  • The "older" a group gets the more likely disconnects become.
  • The more intense the action around the group (both friendly and enemy abilities) the more likely disconnects become.
  • The larger a group is the more likely disconnects become.
  • The larger your group is the more lag you experience.
  • Once a player logs back in there is an extremely good chance that they will disconnect within seconds (unless the group is reformed).
  • Even after a group is reformed there is a chance that a player will not be able to join that new group that night, no matter how many times it is reformed.
  • The disconnect is more of a sync loss - everything (players and enemies) stops moving. They don't even complete their animations. You can continue to move around for a minute or two and then the game returns you to the login screen.
  • Somewhat infrequently you will stop moving from your group's perspective, but you can still see them fighting/moving.
  • I experience it somewhat more than others I play with, the only difference between me and them being that I have substantially more ping (I'm pinging from South Africa). I've recently interacted with other South African ESO players via an alliance guild and they also seem to have more frequent problems with this.

Again, this is a new/different issue. We'll give feedback once the patch hits EU but the patch notes were very specific about "different zones" so I am guessing this one flew under your radar.
