    Once you try to log in, the email gets sent, at least it worked for me. I thought there would be an email to everyone and was looking for it while patching, then realized it wasn't till logging.

    It worked, thanks for the info.

    What did you do to finally get in? I tried to log in and was prompted for a "access code". I was emailed an access code and (not a temp password) and it doesn't work. Rechecked it doesnt work. I have gone through the entire process several times now.

    Not trying to goof on you, just want to make sure. Did you make sure you don't have a preceding or trailing "space" character when you enter the access code?

    For a few people who think they might not have gotten their email..check your Junk Box.

    I was looking for my email then finally found it in my Junk folder. Not sure how it got in there, but I can confirm that it was sent almost instantly from when I logged on thanks to a time stamp, and the code worked.

    No-one wants spammers, bots or their account hacked or stolen and yet, some people still complain about measures being taken to improve security.

    No patch available in launcher after maintenance and a patch seen in patch notes, no password sent to email but expecting me to enter a one-time password when I try to log in.

    I can't patch and i haven't gotten any email either :-( I think it's good that they are trying to improve security but it sucks to finally have some free time and not being able to play.

    Being told to update patcher - my game has not downloaded new patch and I have NOT received a new code in my hotmail either in inbox or junk folder! YES IT SUCKS! Always problems with new content WHY can't they ever get it right?

    Try this guys, I did this and I received the code.
    The first time you try to log in, this window opens up and asking for the code, if no email sent to your email, cancel this window. Then try to log in again using your password, now check if an email was sent to your email. See if itll work for you. ^^ Lets go!

    I've never had problems with them mailing the password before, but today after multiple attempts the password is not being emailed to me.

    I've enter the access code once in this morning, on the second login at night, they asked me to enter again, then the mail never come.

    Yep still waiting on email, over 24 hours where I can't login. Not complaining about the maintenance I can live with the down time for that. But heck this access code stuff sux. I would rather you use an authenticator. Or if not get a better server to handle the email stuff. :-D

    Cool they sent my second code and guess what it didn't work and I put it in manually so there wouldn't be any problems with cut and paste. This is really getting old, been playing MMO's from UO beta to now and never had problems with such BS. So what do I do now, keep logging in and attempt to get another email that may be turned away? 2 bad codes yet they want another code.

    Third time the charm. :-D

    "Improve security"?! I do not see any "improve security"! I only see like once again took the money from us for nothing. Great job, ZOS! Your customer support is completely incompetent.

    Well, I've gotten 7 one-time passwords over the last 18 hours or so. Not a one of them works.

    Found the problem!! the one-time ACCESS CODE goes in the pop-up box that announces it's being sent, not in the password spot. Faulty wording in the initial notice under the password spot misled me.

    3 attempts and nada. I reset my account password and that works for the online account only. When I try to log in to the game it says it doesn't recognize my IP

    ok the improved security works.... a bit to well imho.... this is my 3rd "first time login" since the new patch and evey time i have to re-authorise my account. dont get me wrong, it works evey time, but do i have to keep doing this every time i login now?

    also some people really need to take the time to read a small text.

    it says ACCES CODE not password. it's an extra code, no need to reset your password or anything, just copy-paste, confirm and you're done

    and if the launcher doesnt update, try repairing. not sure if this works for everyone, but it did for me.

    Repairing did NOT work. Still no access code email. As well, after a while, the launcher gets an Error 210 - Cannot update... Even though the game indicates it is at v 1.2.3
