Is anyone able to log in?

I'm playing from overseas in Taiwan and I haven't been able to log in for 2 days. When I try logging in from my Taiwan ISP, after typing in my username and password, it goes to the loading screen and never advances. Now, this normally happens to me every time there's a game patch. In that case, I'm normally able to open my California based VPN connection and log in. That seems to "Reset" everything and allows me to log in with my normal ISP from then on out.

Now, when I try to use the VPN I'm just getting a never ending loading screen.

I can log in. (Are you sure the loading screen is never ending? This patch took 15 minutes for me to clear loading screen).

Barely and even then the game is super Peggy and boots me every few min

I too cannot log in. Its shows before i even put my password in "Could not retrieve announcements", however when i do i shows error 200 login failed.

These errors sound like general connectivity issues, so there are a few different things you can try. First:

• Log out of the game completely and quit to the desktop
• Open the ESO launcher
• Click on Game Options (next to the gear icon in the middle of the launcher)
• Select Check for Updates
• Allow the update process to run to completion
• Attempt to log back in and continue playing

We also recommend ensuring that the launcher, ESO.exe, and account.elderscrollsonline.com are added as exceptions to you firewall and anti-virus programs.

If you still can't log in rebooting your computer or restarting your router/modem may also help. Should none of these steps get you into the game, we recommend contacting our Support Team here with all of the troubleshooting steps you've attempted.

I've tried all of that with no luck. My lag problems and getting booted from an unknown error did not start until you performed your last maintenance.

The last maintenance was Monday. And it is definitely an issue with your ISP or your pc. Judging by the errors and such.

Educated guess of course.

Low and behold, after letting the loading screen run for about 45 min, it finally came to the character selection screen. I restarted and now it's working fine. What a silly problem.

Great, glad I could help.

I've said before, Zenimax need to look at the loading screen issue. Customers getting stuck at the loading screen for very extended times after each patch will lead to support calls or people just unsubscribing. Basic things like this still aren't done right, sadly it will have a financial impact for ZOS.
