can we please have an open world PvP server now?

those of us who prefer and cannot live without an open world PvP server have waited and been silent about this since launch. but i know for me and many others that were here during beta and long even before beta started, have been asking for TESO, (eso), elderscrolls online to allow an open world PvP server for those of us who want to play that way. i requested it for almost 2 years on the only forum we could make our voice heard IE: the bethesda forums, as well as on eso facebook, and also thier eso twitter before eso even launched.
now that the general population has had thier fun and playtime and are WELL into veteran levels, how about allowing us open world PvP lovers. to have our own server.

    In my opinion they will not create another megaserver. If anything the US and EU will merge

    this is really important to me and i know many others share the same belief. just because the EU server is having trouble has no berring on nor any effect on making a pvp server. pvp server is a must for me.

    They will not spend millions on a server that is PVP only.

    They could go with a kind of PvP dimension - but I guess population would be rather small. And ZOS would need to make a lot of changes to make it possible.

    They would need to build methods to travel to zones of other factions before veteran, or it would be cyrodil/craglorn only.
    And some means of protection based on zone level, maybe.

    no you are a part of a very small minority. AND this has been posted well before release. no open world pvp server is gonna happen for the forseeable future. go play something else most likely a FPS game if you want that kind of thing.

    Most folks just play PvE, and it's said PvP doesn't generate enough money do create stuff for the PvP crowd.

    Well, there are indeed other games for those that prefer open world PvP.

    Don't worry. I'm sure their growing pvp player base will force them into setting up another mega server designed solely to host pvp worlds.

    Or take gta5 as an example. Give us the ability to turn passive mode on or off. In passive mode, you only fight NPCs but if you choose to turn it off you can fight each other. It's not like getting killed really has much of a penalty anyways.

    I Ummmm...we have open world PvP. There's a massive area dedicated just for it. It is unlocked after you hit level 10

    How many of these many others are there really?

    Often when I see this topic, it is a handful of vocal people who tend not to stay around very long.

    Not sure why the open world PvP area is not enough. I don't think it would fit to have open world PvP outside of it in this game. But, seeing as that is looking much less popular now, I think that is your answer, on why there is no dedicated server for it.

    You may want to take a fresh look at some of the open world PvP oriented games being made, and backed by kickstarter.

    Not sure it would be the best use of dev resources at this particular time but boy it sure would be fun.

    For a very carebear game like this it certainly could open up new dimensions of play and new ways of looking at the game as a player.

    Some excellent possibilities with crossrealm pve as well.

    You are saying this like there is an option in gameplay but its bugged you can't turn it on. If the game wasn't designed with this in mind how can they add it now, or later, OR EVER???

    Passive mode could easily satisfy mostly everyone. Those who wish to fight can switch it off, those who don't can keep it on. PvP everywhere without forcing it onto everyone.

    Sign me up! I would love open world PvP!

    No newbie safety zones, smoke newbies for fun!

    Make players lootable, one item not bound and all coin! I miss breaking piggy banks!

    Earn faction reputation points or be beaten to a pulp by faction NPCs.

    Allow corpse camping!

    Players don't lose experience in PvP but do if struck by NPC mobs. Learn to train mobs into players! Heal and buff the mobs they're fighting! Loot their kills after they die to mob train!

    Let my flea bitten nag get some action, let me trample and hoof strike in PvP!

    Why would you want even less people to play with? Bad idea to split the fanbase up more than they have to.

    Plot-wise, would this even make sense? In the current PvE areas, the other players are in your alliance. Why would you want to kill them?

    Wouldn't work anyways unless you had cross faction zones. Fighting fellow alliance members would sort of torpedo any kind of lore.

    I'd be happy with some contested, open world 50+ pvp zones being carved out of the blank area on the map..

    This actually could be done through 'phasing'.

    Whereas one or more phases is set to 'pvp flag on', and players of each alliance can enter the same phase together. Players who wanted to take part in open-world PvP would be able to set their preference to these specific phases or have a phase made specifically for them.

    Just provide players with the option to put their /pvp flag on, and give each alliance a home area that is well defended against enemy faction.

    This of course could be expanded for other options, including roleplay phases.

    Ruze is a veteran of the PC Beta, lived through the year one drought, survived the buy-to-play conversion, and has stepped foot in the hells known as Craglorn. He mained a nightlbade when nightblades weren't good, and has never worn a robe. He converted from PC during the console betas, and hasn't regretted it a moment since.

    He'd rank ESO:TU (in it's current state) a 4.8 out of 5, loving the game almost entirely.

    This is an multiplayer game. I should be able to log in, join a dungeon, join a battleground, queue for a dolmen or world boss or delve, teleport in, play for 20 minutes, and not worry about getting kicked, failing to join, having perfect voice coms, or being unable to complete content because someone's lagging behind. Group Finder and matchmaking is broken. Take a note from Destiny and build a system that allows from drop-in/drop-out functionality and quick play.

    they don't care though. Thankfully those kind of players are a minority
