(Bug) Templar Skill From Dawn's Wrath Tree - Illuminate (Passive)

It is supposed to increase Spell Resistance by 500 if the attacker is effected by a Dawn's Wrath ability.
I cast Reflective light on the enemy, they are effected by 189 flame damage over 4.5 seconds and 40% snare over 5 seconds. However, I do NOT receive 500 Spell Resistance while they are effected. In fact, I don't seem to receive the 500 Spell Resistance ever.
Is this a bug, a poorly worded tool tip, or am I completely wrong here?
