What CONSTRUCTIVE Feedback would make this game better?

I'm leaving out things that are "Coming" like housing, new guilds, etc.
Please PICK the "ONE" item that you feel the strongest about that ZOS should concentrate on resolving.

I've added everything I "think" posted in various threads in the forums. Even added a complete "Random" thought as well a "Nothing is needed" - with the caveat that person leaves a comment if they are not VR7+ level yet.

    Better responsiveness in skill application and weapon swap. Dunno if this is only prevalent on the still US-based EU server farm, but for an action-based combat system, a smaller network latency and better server performance would help a lot.

    Leveling VR1-VR12 (Grind less, Increase VP rewards, Explore VP, etc.)
    I am only in my 20's with my only character, but from the feedback that is on these forums, I can't help but think that ZOS needs to find a new method in keeping the end-gamers.

    I mean, I'm not even there yet but I think I'm going to hate the VR experience. Just hearing the word "grind" repeatedly makes my skin crawl a bit, and now I hear that large groups are required for a large amount of the content. I am just...not that social of a person. Even if I was, fact of the matter is my NB stamina-built toon will elicit many groups to simply not take me.

    (However, again, I have not yet experienced VR content, I could be completely off base with this.)

    While I feel that crafting needs a BUMP for QOL - the BALANCE is the biggest issue for me (Templar Healer).

    Close SECOND would be VR1-VR12 Grind. I refuse to level an ALT beyond Level 50 just for that reason.

    Class / build balance. While it's possible to 'play your way' some ways are better / more effective than others.
    Brunhilda Icehammer - Nord Dragonknight, 'Smith & Enchantress 'What is 'ranged? I need to hit something!!'
    Laehl Direthorn - Bosmer Nightblade, Purveyor of fine Clothes, Bows and Staves
    Reeza gra-Zuni - Orc Templar 'War Shaman' and Apothecary
    Noemi Snowpaw - Kajiit Dragon Knight - I laugh... or I'd have to kill you.
    Kitera Dreamon - Breton of The Dominion: Because those Daggers don't appreciate a great Mage.
    Lysara Shadowcroft - Dunmer Bloodmage: This will only hurt a lot.

    Forcing people to play solo in an MMO is one of the most confusing, ignorant ideas I have ever seen implemented in an MMO. Take out forced soloing. Notice I said forced soloing, not all soloing. There should be an option to solo or play with a group via scalable missions. That makes everyone happy.

    Stamina Build Resolve (Light Armor w/Sticks shouldn't be standard)
    Well, an MMO is more than the sum of it's parts, so just one single item won't help all that much with improving the overall game. So actually, I'd go with 'All of them'. In which particular order probably is a question of personal preferences, but reason should dictate to start with the basics, as in making the underlying tech work as intended first.

    But if I am allowed to be selfish, I'd go with 'Stamina Build Resolve'.
    "You've probably figured that out by now. Let's hope so. Or we're in real trouble... and out come the intestines. And I skip rope with them!"

    Here is a suggestion:

    Instead of trying to 'fix' stamina builds, make ALL (including weapon) abilities cost magicka and scale with magicka. Stamina will be used for defensive moves and running as it is now. Will also affect physical weapon damage. Stamina should also determine number of inventory slots (1 atttribute point = +1 slot).

    Balance achieved.

    Player housing, I would happily go through another 6 months of Nightblades in their current state (Leveling mine via questing, avoided anomalies and grinding groups, have had no problems getting to V5 in a medium armor build thus far)

    As it stands, the name of the game is incorrect. Without player housing implemented in SOME form, this is not Elder Scrolls. I am enjoying the game quite a bit thus far, but acquiring enough gold to buy your first house has always been a basic story element in all ESO games. I can save a town, rescue it's inhabitants, but that derelict house in the far corner remains abandoned.

    An Elder Scrolls game without Player housing might as well be an elder scrolls game without Daedric plot points, Khajiit / Argonians, or even the elder scrolls themselves. It just feels wrong.

    I would like to see more solo, PVE, and lvl 1-50 content. Many of us aren't interested in the PVP or the big group dungeons. We like the quests and enjoy making alts and may not have gotten up into VR territory yet. Frankly, I'm not looking forward to it anyway and wouldn't mind seeing some lower level stuff to keep it fresh and exciting.

    I know somebody's going to say, "This is an MMORPG," but I feel like ZOS designed it to be much more than that. They put these features in place to reach a more varied audience, and I think they achieved that. They just need to be sure to do what they can to accommodate all parties.

    That being said, I also agree with @vyrusb23, who stood against forced soloing in some areas.

    Hey Vyrusb23 - for clarity do you mean several of the quests that will not allow you to bring a friend?

    Yes. There are many quests where I am forced to solo even if I am in a group. My friend and I bought this game together with the intent on playing it together. Imagine our surprise when damn near half of the missions we took forced us to play the instance separately. I could see the little triangle over his head where he would be if he were in my instance, but other than that we were unable to interact with each other in any way. Since then, we have both been playing solo. We literally cannot play together as a team in many missions.

    It's not even like there are only a few missions like that. We finally quit playing together when, during one gaming session, we were forced to solo almost every instanced mission we set. I could maybe see forcing people to solo for the main quest only or something like that, but as it is, there is way too much forced soloing. What about Massively Multiplayer Online Roleplaying Game don't they understand?

    Give us the option of soloing or grouping with all missions via a scalable mission system. Playing solo? The mission scales to one person. Playing with one other person? The mission scales to two people. Playing with a full team? The mission scales to accomodate a full team. Hell, I'd even give a sliding difficulty meter on top of that, with loot and treasure spawning according to difficulty setting.

    All of this forced soloing is one of the dumbest things I've ever experienced in an MMO.

    Missing options:

    "I'm a NB or Templar and want class balance"

    "I'm a Sorc or DK and want class balance"

    NBs and Templars are still broken. Sorcs and DKs are still OP FOTM!

    It would have been illuminating to see that split in incentive to see real class balance.

    ALL of your poll choices are vital to the success of this game long-term; including this and so many others:
    Better responsiveness in skill application and weapon swap. Dunno if this is only prevalent on the still US-based EU server farm, but for an action-based combat system, a smaller network latency and better server performance would help a lot.

    Eliminating rollbacks (I STILL have a character stuck in Stonefalls since 1.1.2);

    NPC lip-synch
    that doesn't just move the bottom lip;

    Horses that don't look like they were just ripped off a merry-go-round (why can't the eyes blink--just creepy);

    Correct, updated icons on crafting screens so crafters have an idea what their finished product will look like past the fourth tier AND when they improve it;

    Instanced resource nodes (no need for this to be a competitive endeavor with bots---limit the number available n the world if you think that's unbalanced);

    Incredibly low-res moons that are joined at the hip, in the same spot of sky, with stars that shine through the "new" part need a serious overhaul--just ugly.

    Books and Journals more strategically placed away from enemy spawns so we can actually enjoy reading them--oh, and fix the Eidetic Memory!;

    Jewelry crafting--truly this is mystifying why this is so neglected;

    Potions might be appropriate for PvP, but are ridiculously underpowered for PvE, especially since the enemies have fantastic ones--also, only 18 ingredients?!?;

    Provisioning in the VR is abysmal, whether its finding lvl1 drops in VR, or the fact that there are only a handful of recipes at VR5 ONLY, this has gotten NO love at all;

    Animations--too many to list, but one example is my bow/templar (I know, suicide build-lol) has his bow get stuck frequently, with the arrow pointing curved out to the left, and the bow leaning to the right, uninteractable;

    My vote is concerning the hoops that need to be jumped through for a simple purchase/sale of one item from/to another player. Yes, I could spam zone chat, and hope for a direct trade. Yes, I could fill out an e-harmony-esque application to join a guild and hope that I may be able to participate in a tiny guild store (500 is not much of a market--like ESO only available in a small New Mexico town) for a short time before most move on; and no, 5 of these do not make for a vibrant market. The result is the exclusion of many players from the marketplace, and that is NEVER good. Anything less than a global market is woefully inferior.

    Playing 2 elder scrolls games that had player housing does not mean every elder scrolls had player housing.

    Daggerfall, Morrowind, Oblivion, Skyrim...

    Daggerfall's original release was in 1996, and is the first one I played in the series. All four of the above had player housing as a basic feature on release

    The last 18 years of Elder Scrolls games have had player housing, I would personally say that this makes it a basic feature of the series. If you feel otherwise, great! That's totally your call, i'm just expressing my opinion in a thread apparently intended to provide the means with which to do this.

    Fix resource specialization inequality (Stamina vs Magicka) you fix class inequality (anyone could viably Tank with Stamina, anyone could viably DPS with Stamina), and you fix the difficulty many builds have with VR content (choosing between blocking/dodging/CC breaking or using your skills is a handicap Magicka specialized builds do not have).

    Bug fixes above all else. There are a crapload of abilities that either don't work as listed, or don't work at all, which desperately need fixing before worrying about balancing classes. Balancing first before fixing those just means twice as much work when you have to rebalance the whole damn mess again after the broken one are finally fixed. This on top of things like veteran level provisioning being a complete mess with low level food items in all the barrels and such (without even being able to get the low level recipes to use those items!), the Cyrodiil large group crash bugs, and many other issues which need to be looked into before wasting time adding more content that will be blown through in a few days and ignored.

    Two basic things.

    1. Quad core optimization

    We all know that only one core does the major rendering on our rigs and therefore we are limited if not on an OC system. The majority of the gamers does not OC there PC´s. Therefore it would be advisable to address this asap, either with Mantle or a core usage optimization - best both.

    2. Housing

    Last time we checked, housing is the most wanted addition to ESO. So far the Dev´s are very quiet in regards of that subject and I think many players would appreciate some more news there.
    Housing is a key feature of every traditional MMO, just Wow left it out for whatever reason :D That said, to be able to raise a family, a stable with pets or just a few basic buildings with your weapon racks, some paintings, a wolf pelt, your own crafting station, a cellar to imprison things etc. is a huge immersion detail currently missing at ESO.

    A difficulty slider for the VR areas so casual players can join in - i have my gf and another friend who are casual and will never make it in the current VR content...

    They would play for the story but it has to be easier... and since i like it the way it is now a difficulty slider would be the best way to do it.

    That and more difficult dungeons... that take 2-3 hours to complete.
