[Minor Spoiler] EB Pact / Stonefalls - Shadowsilk Gem Question

There is a quest in Stonefalls where you use a Shadowsilk Gem to turn into a Goblin to rescue somebody. Before the most recent patch, you would simply hit E to turn into a Goblin. After the patch, the quest actually gives you a Shadowsilk Gem in the form of a costume that you can wear & keep...with the ability to turn into a Goblin whenever you want.

My question is this: Is there any way to obtain the Shadowsilk Gem for characters that have completed the quest prior to the change?

My guess would be no. They might be proactively go back and just give these players the gem though.

I doubt it. That kind of global gift could only be accomplished through a global act ( ie: everyone gets it regardless of progress). It's easier to let things stand as they are rather than introduce any potential problems by mucking with player accounts.

Yes, it would be an easy thing for them to do.

i got one and after finishing the quest a spider followed me some how and hit me and i lost it BEWARE even after its in ur bags and quest finished you can still lose it while wearing it.
a bit annoyed about this, ticket in

Just create an alt character, get the gem and put it in your bank ...

Hey there @Catches_the_Sun,

Currently there is not a way to receive a Shadowsilk Gem without completing the quest after the patch. We do not have plans to restore the gem to folks that have completed the quest before the patch, but you can most certainly complete the quest on an alternate character, place the gem in your bank, and pick it up on your main!

Not sure why they didn't add this to the costume inventory like they did with the skeleton gem.

Not sure necroing a thread 6+ months after the last post in it id the best way to discuss something as it is now .. but this is clearly WAI so I see no need for a ticket.

All 'disguises' disappear if you engage in combat so this would be expected. Yes, this being a 'gem' rather than a disguise 'costume' is an anomaly (God knows this game abounds with inconsistencies and at times outright contradictions) but this behaviour is entirely normal for a 'diguise'.

@C3N50R3D the skeleton is a Trophy so its mechanics would be expected to be different otherwise you'd lose it.

That polymorph is unique enough and sought after that it should have been converted.
