The method for choosing an automated Forum name makes me highly uncomfortable. Anyone else trained in information systems and information security should be able to see how scary this is. I would request the moderation staff consider either allowing community members to pick their own name from the beginning, or use information that isn't so obviously dangerous to community members.

I would like to request my forum name changed to Dieadre plesase, if that is taken throw some random numbers into it (as much as I hate doing that on online identities), anything is better than what has been done. I am very uncomfortable by this situation.

It's only the case for people who created an account during beta. Since launch, account creation has allowed you to choose your own name.

and thank you @Enodoc its nice to know Z has taken steps to protect community members who joined after beta while leaving those who participated in the beta exposed. I don't expect a quick response to this issue, and I'm not angry, more like scared out of my mind. This is not sound Information Security Policy

@Dieadre Alan has made an earlier statement on name changes in regards to security. We attempted to make changes to all accounts however thousands of participants were included in beta which included players who never used their accounts. If for any reason you feel that it is an immediate concern feel free to message one of the mods online or who have recently posted on this thread.

loyalhabsfan, Dieadre, and Roland_D have been addressed privately to complete their name changes.

We have now completed Lirkin, Eradrann, and CaptJack.

Our apologies. The reason you were skipped is because we were unable to change your name. You cannot have Hyphens in your Username, so would M_TeK_9 or MTek9 work for you?

Hey Crow, unfortunately spaces and hyphens are not permitted. If the other options are not preferable it's recommended that you give the name some thought. Since this is a one-time change you will want a name you're going to enjoy.
