Horrible balance , bad calls went it comes to forcing solo/group content and to a smaller point even the fact classes on their very core are locked and designed clearly to perform a role better , sure do make that sound like a lie the more you play the game.

Technically yes, I can. But as a medium armor Dual wield Nightblade, I cant play that way and be a viable contribution to any group.

I play as I want but the game hasn't been designed for using weapons and stamina so I'm penalised for playing as I want.

I must admit I'm quite surprised at the poor design choices made by the designers. It's like they had one meeting to discuss it, no testing, remodeling etc.

So the poll was asking if I could play as I want.. and I have been, so that's what I answered with. However, I do recognize there are balancing issues and a lot of (or perhaps all) stamina builds are not currently very effective with trials, and then there's the whole class exclusion thing that happens with pugs.

My answer is yes, I can.. but that doesn't mean problems don't need to be addressed with other styles of play.

I am not sure whether to choose yes or no, however I would say YES only in the factor if you want to be a stamina DPS and accept the fact that you will fail in dungeons every time in comparison to a magical DPS. But you can still use stamina if you feel like doing it. Not sure what you are trying to get at here, but interested in hearing what you have to say. If I were trying to be THE BEST dps as a stamina user, I would say NO.

During beta I fell in love with a medium armor Templar. I had balanced stamina/magicka pools. Biting Jabs out of sneak attack was fun as hell. I switched between a 2her and a bow. I loved it. Then they nerfed biting jabs sneak attack damage.

I thought well that sucks, but I will keep the medium armor build for my Bowplar build. I used the bow and 2her to lvl 50.

Then I hit the veteran zones. I was getting shredded. I ditched the 2her in exchange for sword n board and learned to us shield bash. Everything was great. I was able to keep my medium armor build for the bow and use shield bash to help with melee.

Then in the same patch, they nerfed both shied bash and biting jabs. Now I was a wreck. Getting destroyed and frustrated, i respecced countless times. I learned and lvled up almost every skill available. I fumbled my way through 3 vet ranks like this. Clumsy, frustrated, and dissatisfied.

I have things under control now. I feel fairly powerful again. Know why? Yup, you guessed it. I went full cloth and grabbed a couple staves.

Play my own way? Not even close.that slogan is a complete and utter lie.

I feel like a sheep now. But at least I can navigate. Veteran content w/o wanting to smash my keyboard. And that is pretty sad.

I want to level in dungeons and PvP primarily, as I do in all the MMOs I play. Prior to level 50, dungeon xp is basically capped at about 3 bars (out of 50) is my guess. Nuff said.

Notice a trend here? Almost every yes vote is a Sorc or DK. They don't need a nerf, but NB and Templar need a major overhaul. At least they are attempting to fix the NB. Meanwhile the Templar is getting left in the dust.

You can always play as you want in any MMO, including ESO. But, this is the interwebz and it is filled with arm chair experts that will ridicule you if you don't play how THEY play.

Beyond that truth of an answer, yeah some Class imbalances, yeah Stam vs Mag imbalances, blah blah how bout people just play and enjoy the parts of the game that aren't broken

I voted yes, because I'm a Nightblade, and I'm playing the way I want. My guild/groups generally appreciate my damage and my ability to not die to stupid stuff.

My Nightblade dual-wielding character is doing fine enough, even though I hear light armor and staves are the in thing right now.

If you want to be even remotely competitive, this game provides you with much fewer options than any of the 'old-school' class-based MMOs like WoW. Which is riddiculous as build variety should be the selling point of any LAS game.

Yes mostly at least until the next patch. But I did start with a self sustaining S&B NB tank for end game in mind and I was always going to use magicka for offense since using stamina for offense seemed stupid.

In my opinion the problem is that they made stamina a resource for skill use and balancing it will always be a problem. There should have been only one offensive resource and one defensive resource called whatever you like. No one really wants a "stamina build" what they want is a old school Dexterity based character which just doesn't really exists in this game. If all skills used and scaled with the blue stuff we would have been half way to a balanced diverse gameplay. The other half is to make the weapon skill animation bearable and make the skill tabs less restrictive.

How the hell can people suffer trough repeated Flurry animations? It is one of the ugliest things I have seen in games in the last couple of years..
