ZOS Let us update our method of payment

Ok, I go into my account. I need to update the expire date on my bank card. But low and behold there is no option to update. So thinking I was just missing something I checked the knowledge database. Still nothing so I contacted ZOS by e-mail.

Little later, on the same day (who said cs is bad) I get an email response telling me................

You Must First Cancel Your Current Subscription.

What in the hell is this BS? This is 2014 not 1960. Never have I found a site that you cannot update bank card information. Ok, im wrong about that. When the internet first launched everything was new and never done before. But after 2 or 3 decades of internet, there is no reason for this not to be included to your account page.

Again I have the same exact bank, card number, only the expire date is changed.

    Jeez. Don't make a mountain out of a molehill. Just cancel it and restart it with the new card. It's not like it's going to affect anything. Are you trying to find something to be mad about?

    lol i bet that is how you do it, if you're updating your billing info, you will have to do the whole pre-authorization anyway, so it would be the same thing as canceling and re subbing

    And with some of the billing issues Zenimax is having, can you tell me that if I was to cancel my subscription that I wont have no issue?

    Sorry but its still the point that you just cannot update the affected information as you can on most all other business sites. And I would not like to take the chance that I will not be able to continue to play.

    I canceled my sub and added new card without any issue, as card expire at end of month.
