I realize this is not the first item on your "To do" list, but when it comes around I'd love the option to filter out when people log in and out. I really don't need to see on every chat tab every time everyone logs in and out, especially with so many people farming and logging every couple of minutes. I actually have had to delete some people from my friends list (not that I wanted to) because the chat spam was too obtrusive... just a suggestion.
