Expert Hunter and its evolutions do not work with Biting Jabs

Biting Jabs does not seem to execute with Expert Hunter and its evolutions. Out of thousands of strikes, I would expect more hp taken from enemy, however after MANY enemies, no firey death. I have used Expert Hunter and its evolutions with other MAGIC spells and it ended in success, however with Biting Jabs, it does not want to execute at all. Can this please be looked into? The skill is not performing the job that is stated.
