Is it possible to copy-paste LIVE client and make it PTS client? I want to save a lot data.

As title says - I want to save a lot data because I have daily limits (around 5 GB). When I go above 5 GB, my internet is 20x slower for next day. Can I copy LIVE client to PTS folder, do some tricks and run launcher to update client? Or I'm forced to re-download full client?

No. You need to full download. Also, it experiences big changes.

These are two completely different builds, their could be some files on the PTS that are intended to replace old files on the LIve.

Along the same lines, does the files for the PTS server overwrite the Live server files, or are they completely separate installs? I wouldn't mind trying the PTS server as long as I could go back to my normal character if I decided to dump the PTS at a later date.

They are separate. You'll be able to uninstall PTS if you want without live suffering.

again no, that specific build might not even be put on the live, Last PTS had version 1.1.0, but when they finally put in craglorn on the live that was version 1.1.2

Seems that I must download PTS on laptop outside and copy to my PC after it's downloaded.

By the way, do we get prepared characters or need to create them and start at level 3?
