Wabbajack not working in Mages Guild quest

several different alts have experienced this, when I get to Sheogorath and he gives me the Wabbajack, I equip it and yet nothing happens when I activate. The quest guide still says I have to equip it, and nothing I've tried seems to change anything.

After equiping the Wabbajack you need to point to a npc and click in light atack.
I just did that quest yesterday in my alt i was trying a strong attack and was not working untill i did a light attack.

If this not help in your problem, may have to try relog, if still not working try to cancel the quest and pick up the quest again.

If nothing works , contact support in game.

I'm sorry could you clarify what you mean by activate it? You don't use the skill bars or get any activation notice, you walk up and use a basic light attack just like any enemy. If that isn't working than it sounds like a bug that you might need to contact customer service to help you get past the quest with.

I think I have figured out the "secret" of using the Wabbajack. Usually when I am using a weapon, I really mash the mouse button. When using the Wabbajack you must use a very short click. Just quickly tap the button. Hope this helps.
