This game has a bad community

I just logged out from the game where I expressed in zone chat my concerns about the things that still aren't fixed after 2 months after the launch. Basic and obvious things like provisioning materials in veteran areas, enchanting leveling nightmare, still no search function in guild store, non-existent economy, and I got bashed by fan-boys accusing me of whining and inviting me to unsub if I don't like it.
Really? This is the community this game deserves or this is all what is left after all reasonable people have already left? Why is it if you have a different opinion than theirs you suddenly become undesirable and a "whiner"?

PS I won't say if I unsubbed or not because I am sure one "helpful" moderator will close this saying it is a goodbye thread. It is not. I am just saying that I am disappointed with the community. Or this is forbidden as well?

Yes, I do notice a slightly higher proportion of fanbois in this game vs other mmo's I've played. But, all of them have tons of fanbois. Like gold spamming, fanbois are just something you have to accept as a negative part of any MMO you play.

Strange. I have exactly the same thoughts about people who use the word "fanboy," or any of its ridiculous derivatives.

They are definetly a detriment to the overall development of the game.

They think their game is fun because some minority tells them so.

I believe they are called as such because of their fanaticism in defending something that is obviously broken but they just refuse to see it.

You mean the game has an awesome community that is very happily playing the game and don't like kids whining in chat? Yeah I noticed it too, very cool

    PS 0/10 for the attempt

Imo, claiming the community is bad just because you've received few disappointing replies is just as bad, just get over it, if you throw your opinion in the chat, just accept the opinion of others

This happens in every pve game that gets pvp players. The pvpers exploit things and get pve people nerfed to the point they leave.

There's a difference between trying to discuss something and simply complaining, and people tend to respond in kind.

Can't say which approach you took in zone chat, but asking questions like "or is this forbidden as well" or making posts like "this game has a bad community" isn't a great sign for it being the former.

To be honest, it's because those of us with an IQ higher than plankton find it quite pathetic.

I'm hardly a supporter of the game, made it pretty clear what I think of certain things, but I couldn't force myself to use that word if my man parts were under threat of imminent nail gun to a table.

You mean.. People didn't want to see your concerns/complaints in zone chat? How dare they consider such a thing "annoying" and bash you further.

Seriously though. I can understand to an extent why they reacted in such a way. Keep in mind you are playing with young adults and children, so what do you expect?

It's quite honestly the nature of the general MMO community, it's not unique to this game.

I generally ignore zone chat in game for that reason; it's chock full of trolls and douchebaggery that I have zero desire to interact with.

If you want a good community, you need to do some legwork and find yourself a good guild or two to be a part of. Also, ignore most of the idiots in zone chat and on the forums here. There are plenty of trolls living under the forum bridge, but there are also a few handfuls of genuinely decent and helpful people that won't immediately start flaming you with "LOL NOOB L2P, BABBYS FIRST MMO, GO UNSUB NAO, KTHXBAI!!" whenever you mention something that they don't agree with.

Why use zone chat for something like that (unless it's to simply get attention). The zone chat is already full of nonsensical stuff.

Mistake #1: you expressed your opinion in zone. Mistake #2: you came here to cry about mistake #1.
Mistake #3: while executing mistake #2 you imply this op could be, or might not be a goodbye thread.

    Can I have our stuff?

The problem is the game is targeted to a more educated and adult public than let's say WS or WoW with their LCD target

And the LCD didn't get the memo....

I really hope WS attracts all the kiddies away from ESO with all their flashy crap and big booty toons... That would make me happy.

This isn't bad community, it's just being tired of hearing the same complaints over and over and over and over and over... and over and over and over again.

Sure there are issues but if design choices are such a huge problem there really are other MMOs and RPGs that would better serve your entertainment needs.

Some of us who simply enjoy the game without being fangirls, in my case, are really fed up with hearing it. Not that you're wrong. Several of the issues you brought up are valid and need to be addressed. But calling the community bad because we're tired of people bashing a game we're enjoying is not really valid. Just like calling you a troll or hater simply because you've got the same problems we have with ESO but are only now getting around to voicing them.

Noemi Snowpaw - Kajiit Dragon Knight - I laugh... or I'd have to kill you.

Lysara Shadowcroft - Dunmer Bloodmage: This will only hurt a lot.

Can't agree more. If you are not ready and willing to accept rebuttal by people in chat, why would you even bother?

I will never understand the mentality of going public with your frustration. What will this accomplish other than even more frustration? If you are unhappy with the state of the game, move on. People suggesting you unsub are not being absurd. You either unsub or you don't, it is literally THAT simple.

What you are failing to see is there are people who are just as content (even with the bugs) as you are frustrated. It goes both ways.
